Peloton HiLit+ Gets Outside Spotlight From Athletech News
Peloton HiLit+ Gets Outside Spotlight From Athletech News
Peloton HiLit+ is getting attention beyond Peloton’s own platform. Athletech News published a feature on July 7 framing Rebecca Kennedy’s expanded training program as a key piece of Peloton’s broader shift toward strength and longevity, not just another rotation of classes.

HiLit+ Builds on a Proven Track Record
Written by Elizabeth Ostertag, the Athletech News feature notes that more than 431,000 members have already taken part in the original HiLit training plan, completing over 2 million HiLit workouts across modalities. HiLit classes have ranked among Peloton’s most-taken content so far in 2026, spanning cardio, foam rolling, full body strength, hiking, mobility, Pilates, power walking, and Tread Bootcamp. The Clip Out covered the original program details in its HiLit training plan resources guide.
Peloton HiLit+ extends that foundation with longer strength workouts built around hypertrophy, weekly jump training for power and joint health, additional outdoor walking sessions, and a dedicated seventh recovery week. A full breakdown of the new schedule is available in The Clip Out’s Rebecca Kennedy HiLit+ schedule essentials piece.
Kennedy told Athletech News the update is designed to build on what members already responded to, saying the program “supercharges” the original with longer strength blocks aimed at long-term muscle health. She also pointed to the addition of outdoor walks, noting that summer offers a natural opening to move training outside.
A Piece of Peloton’s Larger Strength Strategy
The Athletech News feature connects Peloton HiLit+ to CEO Peter Stern’s “cardio plus strength” framing from his January shareholder letter, where he linked growing interest in strength training to shifting consumer needs, including the rise of GLP-1 medications. The piece also ties the program to Peloton’s continued investment in Peloton IQ, the company’s AI coaching system.
That framing matters. Outside coverage positioning Peloton HiLit+ as part of a company-wide strategy, rather than a standalone class update, signals how Peloton wants the program understood in the broader fitness market. Members with questions about how the collection fits together can find answers in The Clip Out’s HiLit collection Q&A.
Member Response Is Already Building
Kennedy posted about the Peloton HiLit+ feature on her own Instagram, thanking Athletech News for capturing what the next seven weeks are about. The post drew a wave of comments from members already several days into the program.
Peloton HiLit+ officially launched July 6, as detailed in The Clip Out’s original launch coverage. Most members are still in week one. How the new outdoor walk and jump training components land over the coming weeks, along with Kennedy’s related RKSolid Spotlight member-follow series, will be worth watching as the program progresses.
