2012 and 2013 are where the Peloton story begins. In January 2012, five co-founders — John Foley, Tom Cortese, Yony Feng, Hisao Kushi, and Graham Stanton — set out to bring the energy of a boutique fitness studio into people’s homes. What started as an idea in a New York City office became a Kickstarter campaign in 2013, the first instructor hires, and the earliest glimpse of a community that would eventually grow to millions.
Scroll through the history and interactive timeline below to explore Peloton’s founding year by year — every announcement, hire, and milestone documented by The Clip Out.
