Peloton HiLit+ is getting attention beyond Peloton’s own platform. Athletech News published a feature on July 7 framing Rebecca Kennedy’s expanded training program as a key piece of Peloton’s broader shift toward strength and longevity, not just another rotation of classes.

HiLit+ Builds on a Proven Track Record

Written by Elizabeth Ostertag, the Athletech News feature notes that more than 431,000 members have already taken part in the original HiLit training plan, completing over 2 million HiLit workouts across modalities. HiLit classes have ranked among Peloton’s most-taken content so far in 2026, spanning cardio, foam rolling, full body strength, hiking, mobility, Pilates, power walking, and Tread Bootcamp. Peloton HiLit+ extends that foundation with longer strength workouts built around hypertrophy, weekly jump training for power and joint health, additional outdoor walking sessions, and a dedicated seventh recovery week. Kennedy told Athletech News the update is designed to build on what members already responded to, saying the program “supercharges” the original with longer strength blocks aimed at long-term muscle health. She also pointed to the addition of outdoor walks, noting that summer offers a natural opening to move training outside.

A Piece of Peloton’s Larger Strength Strategy

The Athletech News feature connects Peloton HiLit+ to CEO Peter Stern’s “cardio plus strength” framing from his January shareholder letter, where he linked growing interest in strength training to shifting consumer needs, including the rise of GLP-1 medications. Peloton HiLit+ officially launched July 6, as detailed in The Clip Out’s original launch coverage. Most members are still in week one.
