Peloton Instructors Running the NYC Marathon: 8 to Track – Plus 1
Peloton Instructors Running the NYC Marathon Nov. 1
Eight Peloton instructors, plus Antoni Porowski, partner of Zacharias Niedzwiecki, are on the NYRR list for the Nov. 1 race.
The Peloton instructors running the TCS NYC Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 1, are Robin Arzón, Mariana Fernandez, Hannah Frankson, Alex Karwoski, Zacharias Niedzwiecki, Ash Pryor, Camila Ramón and Matt Wilpers, according to the list New York Road Runners announced Oct. 13 for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon.
The race marks the 50th anniversary of the five-borough course, which starts on Staten Island and finishes in Central Park. Antoni Porowski, the Queer Eye star and partner of Zacharias Niedzwiecki, is also on the NYRR list, making this one a double dose of fun for the couple.

Matt Wilpers Returns for a Third New York Start
Matt Wilpers is running his third NYC Marathon after the 2023 race with a group of Peloton instructors and members. His April, 2026 London Marathon was the final star in his Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star journey, following Tokyo, Berlin, Chicago, Boston and New York City.

Training advice from the Peloton instructors running the NYC Marathon starts with Wilpers, and it is specific. Keep hard runs and hard leg workouts on separate days, place strength work after runs, and eat enough to protect muscle, a mistake he has said he made often. He also says “structured goals are what separate training from racing.”

His buildup runs alongside a 16-week virtual marathon program through Team Wilpers. Coach Justin Harris leads it, and it began July 13 with more than 75 athletes. Matt is also sharing workouts, nutrition, recovery, mindset and race week content on Instagram via his partnership with Zappos.
Mariana Fernandez Brings Multiple Finishes
Among the Peloton instructors running the NYC Marathon, Mariana Fernandez has run the race multiple times. Her latest advice came in an Oct. 18 ABC News segment, where she called recovery “as important as the workout itself” and said it starts with the warm-up. She also recommends beginning with mobility work and using yoga to build strength and flexibility for running.

She joins Matt and Zacharias at the Peloton x NYRR Shakeout Run on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7:00 p.m. ET at the TCS New York City Marathon Pavilion in Central Park.
Peloton Instructors Running the NYC Marathon Build Toward Race Day
Hannah Frankson will run her second marathon. Her first was the 2024 London Marathon, which she finished in 4:03:59. She ran her first half marathon at Hackney this year alongside instructor Susie Chan. Her build is about 12 weeks and includes longer long runs, more energy gels and dedicated recovery sessions from the start. She took followers along for the ride.

As a former Olympic track athlete in Triple Jump, she’s embraced her training, all the ups and downs, and she feels ready.

Ash Pryor is aiming for her first full marathon after left knee surgery. She stepped away from live teaching after March 22 and returned to live Row classes on May 24. She describes herself as a run/walk racer, plans to finish while following her race plan, and has asked followers for nutrition guidance and run/walk strategies for city streets.
Her comeback story on her IG has been one of the most moving in the Peloverse!
Camila Ramón, Alex Karwoski and Robin Arzón
Camila Ramón, another of the Peloton instructors running the NYC Marathon, ran the Maybelline Women’s Half in New York on April 26. She trains with three runs a week plus cycling, strength and yoga, and she has described her goal as getting stronger and not smaller. An accessory navicular diagnosis had earlier forced her to step back from a planned half marathon. She also shared her go-to Spotify playlist with fans.
Alex Karwoski ran the 2024 NYC Marathon. He keeps a bit of a lower profile but make no mistake, his fellow instructors routinely idolize him as an absolute beast of a competitor, and we are excited to see his finish this year. Matt said recently he hopes to recruit him as his next HYROX doubles partner!

Robin Arzón is also on the NYRR list. Her IG has plenty of her marathon tips, memories, and motivation!
Zacharias Niedzwiecki and Antoni Porowski

Among the Peloton instructors running the NYC Marathon, Zacharias teaches yoga and strength classes. He’s a super strong athlete (ok, kettlebells!) but we haven’t seem him run much, so this will be exciting (and we wonder if he will be joining the Tread team after this?). In March he released a 45-minute focus flow for runners that targets hip flexors, hamstrings, calves and connective tissue, and it works as recovery or pre-run preparation. This week, he and Mariana both have new focus flows for runners, likely in preparation for the big day for themselves and so many Peloton members.

Antoni recently announced he is raising money in his marathon run for City Harvest. As a food and wine expert, his connection to a local nonprofit that is New York City’s largest food rescue organization makes sense! Will the two run side by side or run their own races? We can’t wait to see!
Race Week Events for Members
Members following the Peloton instructors running the NYC Marathon have more than the shakeout run on the calendar. Peloton has also listed a Cheer Zone in Greenpoint on Nov. 1 and Medal Monday at Peloton Studios New York on Nov. 2. The race starts at 8:00 a.m.
