Peloton Guide Discontinued: What Happened and What Owners Should Know

Ready for a little real talk? As of July 30, 2025, Peloton has officially pulled the plug on Guide sales worldwide. If you blinked and missed its time in the spotlight, youāre not alone. The Guide launched with plenty of fanfare, but letās be honestāit never quite found its groove. Price drops came faster than a rapid-fire HIIT set, and the buzz? Not exactly off the charts.
What Was the Peloton Guide, Anyway?
The Guide aimed to be Pelotonās bold foray into connected strength. It boasted motion tracking and personalized strength programming, promising to transform living rooms into cutting-edge gyms. In theory, Guide was supposed to bridge the gap between dumbbells and digital engagement. In reality, many Members were left unconvinced, and for some, the never-ending markdowns were the most compelling feature.
If you grabbed one on sale (or several sales), congratsāyou own a curious piece of Pelotonās history.

Why is the Peloton Guide Discontinued?
Peloton is calling this a strategic pivot, focused on āintroducing new ways to improve Member outcomes.ā Translation? Theyāre ready to leave Guide in the rearview mirror and shift gears toward the next big thing. The official word from HQ:
“As of July 30, Peloton ended sales of the Guide product to focus on introducing new ways to improve Member outcomes. We remain committed to providing our Members with tools for a connected strength experience. Existing Guide users will continue to have full functionality of their product and subscription. Peloton Members with questions can contact support.onepeloton.com.”
And donāt worry, if youāre one of the select few who actually bought a Guide, Pelotonās got your backāongoing updates and full functionality are here to stay.
What Did Peloton Learn from All This?
Letās call it a valuable experiment. Guide may not have broken sales records, but it gave Peloton a taste of what Members want (and, letās be honest, what they really donāt). Consider Guide a stepping stoneāone thatās barely scuffed, sure, but still useful on the path to true connected strength greatness.
Pelotonās next wave of innovation will be shaped by the lessons learned hereāmore insight, smarter features, and, hopefully, a little more Member excitement next time around.
Looking Forward
This isnāt a goodbye to connected strengthāitās just goodbye to a product that never quite flexed as hard as it promised. Peloton is doubling down, hinting that the future will include fresh ways to help Members move, sweat, and succeed together. The mission hasnāt changed: give Members top-tier tools and tech to crush their goalsāwith a little less sticker shock. Will that mean more Guide-like features on the Tread+ and Bike+?
The fitness landscape never stops evolving, and neither does Peloton. Hereās to whatās nextāand to hoping the next innovation sticks the landing.
