Who Is Helene Fischer?

If the name is new to you, here is the short version: Helene Fischer is widely known as the “Queen of Schlager” — a German-language pop genre built on catchy melodies, high energy, and emotionally direct themes. We have previously described Schlager as “a kitschy-pop style, sort of Eurovision in its scope, focusing generally on love or happiness.” It is one of the most popular music styles in German-speaking Europe, and it translates exceptionally well to a workout setting. If you have taken a Schlager ride with Benny or Erik before, you already have a sense of what this series will feel like.

Fischer is one of the genre’s defining artists, with over 18 million records sold and five best-selling albums in Germany. Her song “Atemlos durch die Nacht” remains one of the most successful German-language songs ever released. She is, in short, a very big deal in German-speaking markets — which is exactly why this series resonates so strongly with the PSL instructor team.

The Peloton Helene Fischer Artist Series and the German Instructor Connection

The three instructors leading July 3 classes are all central figures in Peloton’s German-language programming. Benny Adami, Erik Jager, and Jeffrey McEachern have built their reputations on high-energy classes with a distinctly European flavor, and Schlager music has been a signature element of that. Benny in particular has featured Fischer’s music in his Dein Konzert Sing-Along Ride collection, and Erik led the first-ever Power Zone Schlager Ride earlier this year.

This is Peloton’s second Helene Fischer Artist Series. The first ran in March 2022, with Erik, Benny, and Marcel Maurer. The 2026 version adds a Walk + Run with Jeffrey McEachern, reflecting how much the German instructor team’s class variety has grown since that first series.

There are also more than 100 classes On Demand featuring her music as of this writing.

Will you be adding these new Peloton Helene Fischer Artist Series classes to your schedule on July 3?
