This and That: Week of October 5
Happy Saturday, y’all! Another week has passed, another This and That is upon us. Sit back, relax, grab a coffee, and light that pumpkin spice candle – it’s time to brief yourself on five of the smaller but still noteworthy Peloton news stories of the week!
Matty One of the Faces of Wicked Clothing Collection
Calling all Wicked fans! Ever wondered what it would be like to wear clothing designed by the genius behind Wicked’s costumes? Look no further! Matty is one of the dazzling faces of the new Paul Tazewell collection. With the movie hitting theaters on November 22, this collection is bound to bring some theatrical flair to your workout wardrobe!
New Badge Distances? Get Ready to Walk and Run!
Heads up, badge chasers! The Walking and Running Monthly badges (or the gold badge, anyway) are stepping it up a notch. September’s (and all previous months) badge tiers were just the warm-up. For October, you’ll need to walk or run more distance (50 miles now for the gold rather than 40 miles) to snag that gold badge. Silver and bronze distances appear to be the same. This can be frustrating to some members, especially those who have a rigid training plan to aim for those badges, but we’re always up for a challenge, right?
Share Your Marathon Story with Peloton
Are you gearing up to run the New York Marathon on November 3? Peloton wants to hear your story! Whether it’s your first marathon or your fiftieth, share your “why” and how Peloton helped you toe that starting line. You might just have a chance to be featured in an inspiring social media campaign. Ready, set, share!
Sam Yo’s Shoulder Triumph
Sam Yo recently revealed on Instagram that he’s finally bench pressing without pain after a tough shoulder injury. Despite his challenges, Sam’s rides never missed a beat. We’re thrilled to see him back in action, pain-free, ready to bring the heat (and happiness) to his classes! There’s no greater joy than a Sam Yo class, and know ing he’s now on the mend make us smile!
Scenic Cycling with Christian Van Verde
Get ready for a breathtaking ride like no other! Christian Van Verde is taking us to France’s Col du Galibier with a new scenic ride. Don’t sleep on Peloton’s scenic rides – you’ll find some of the most breathtaking drone shots and you’ll likely learn more about a location you’ve perhaps never visited. Dropping on demand on 10/16, Christian’s Col du Galibier ride promises stunning views and the kind of workout only Christian can deliver. Mark your calendars, cycling fans!
