TCO Top 5 Favorite Peloton classes: Stay motivated with this week’s picks (8/21/2024)

Every Monday, we ask the Clip Out community to share their favorite class from the last week. Your stories of love, sweat, and tears always inspire us to keep moving. We are excited to share the five most enthusiastic nominations (in no particular order) and a quick review of each class. Read on for our weekly dose of motivation!

This week’s favorite Peloton classes:

  1. 1. 08/10/2024 60 Minute Endurance Run with Susie Chan
  2. 11/01/2020 60 Minute NYC Marathon Simulation with Becs Gentry
  3. 08/14/2024 20 Minute 80s Ride with Robin Arzon
  4. 08/18/2024 Yacht Rock Ride with Jenn Sherman
  5. 30 Minute Champion Row with Alex Karwoski (and Nick Mead!!)

Why you loved them!

Sometimes it’s hard to pick just one favorite (clear by the number of bookmarked classes we have to “take later”), but these reviews make it easy! Here’s what the TCO Community had to say about their favorite classes from the last week.

  1. Favorite Run

08/10/2024 60 Minute Endurance Run with Susie Chan

Oliverjlong (#Oliver_Long) loved this class, saying it had “awesome music and an excellent run for anyone training for longer distances.  Susie is like that friend who always encourages you to push your limits.”  With 17 songs to keep the class flowing, and only 9 minutes of warm-up/cool down, this is a great class to really test that endurance!

  1. Favorite Simulation Run

11/01/2020 60 Minute NYC Marathon Simulation with Becs Gentry

This run is such a unique way to experience the ebbs and flows of the New York City Marathon without leaving your tread!  Danette Royal Giles recommended this ride – thank goodness it hasn’t been purged, and we hope it never is!  Danette said it was “a great run to settle in and get some miles done.  Her story of running the 2019 marathon is so inspiring.”  Sounds like a great reason to take this run, even if you’re not training for a marathon!   Check out Peloton’s other simulation and Marathon race prep classes, too, especially if you’re training to run a race.

  1. Favorite Ride

08/14/2024 20 Minute 80s Ride with Robin Arzon

Michelle Gill Newton recommended this class, saying it was her favorite from last week.  Michelle said that “the playlist brought back great memories.  It wasn’t too challenging, so I enjoyed it.”  This is  a good reminder that sometimes you need a ride that isn’t going to make you worn out, but instead will help you chill out!    If you’re a Gen Xer, the music from this ride will definitely make you feel like you’re back at your high school dance, with your big aquanet hair, waiting for that special someone  in the parachute pants to ask you to dance!

  1. Favorite Music Themed Ride

08/18/2024 Yacht Rock Ride with Jenn Sherman

Jenn’s music themed rides are always favorites, and her Yacht Rock Rides are especially popular and make the summer seem never ending!   This one was no different, and Beth Boomer Bivins picked it as her favorite ride this week.  She said it was “so good.  And I’m trying to figure out where to buy that beautiful green top she was wearing!  I mostly am a power zone rider but I am all in for Jenn when she does Yacht Rock, or any music themed ride.”  Jason Soffer also picked this class as his favorite, saying “It was not only great music but it was my 500th ride – and I got a PR too.”  Congratulations, Jason – sounds like a great Sunday morning for you!

  1. Favorite Unstackable Row

Sometimes we want a class that leaves us in a puddle and washes all hope of a stack of extra classes away with it. We call those classes Unstackable, and we love hearing about our listeners’ Unstackable experiences.

30 Minute Champion Row with Alex Karwoski (and Nick Mead!!)

This class is a two-fer for the record books, and so many people recommended this as a great class as well as being challenging enough to be unstackable!  Olympic Rower / Gold Medalist Nick Mead (who also carried the flag for Team USA in the closing ceremonies) joined Alex on the rower for a fabulous class!  Kathleen Arthur recommended this class, saying “Excellent row class, lots of great discussion about the Olympics and the rowing process from warm up to the actual races.  Nick sang ‘Row, Row, Row Your Boat’ with Elmo, and he met Michael Phelps and Snoop Dogg!!  And the pace at the end of the row – Whew!”    Trish McIsaac LaLonde and Julianna Dullum also recommended this row, and Michael S. Davern agreed that it was a great class, saying “I could not go as fast as these two but listening to the joy and the stories was amazing.”  Ouiinfrance (#BounjourBabe) also said this class “was a fun format which was broken up into two pieces to simulate a race – the first was 60-second intervals and the second was 90 second intervals.  Luckily for us, they programmed in rest because I really needed it. Super challenging with the rate up over 40 at the end, max effort.  It was nice to see Alex row with an old friend, and a humble one, too.  The time flew by and I was drenched at the end!”  By the way, Nick Mead, a few of our listeners are hoping you’ll join the Peloton platform as a row instructor – wouldn’t you love to???

Thank you!
