Why you loved them!

Sometimes it’s hard to pick just one favorite, but these reviews make it easy! Here’s what the TCO Community had to say about their favorite classes from the last week.

Favorite Peloton Row Bootcamp

11/14/23 30 min Row Bootcamp: Core with Katie Wang

Sonya Norman’s favorite of the week is basically a 15-minute core class disguised as a Row Bootcamp!

“Katie’s rowing core bootcamp from 11/14/23.  All animal themed😂 The floor exercises had animal names like dead bugs, bear planks, etc, and the song titles all had animals too. Katie is hilarious and it was a great workout!” she said.

The core segment takes up the center 16 minutes of class and is all bodyweight—no dumbbells required. The first row block consists of three increasingly long challenging pushes. The second row block contains two max effort pushes—one 30 seconds, the other 45, with 50 seconds to recover and ramp back up in between. The class will warm you up, burn your abs out, and then launch you into a high-speed finisher, making the most of a 30-minute workout!

Favorite Peloton Ride

1/11/24 30 min The Color Purple Ride with Tunde Oyeneyin

Reagan Rogers (yayrea) loved the beautiful, feel-good energy of Tunde’s The Color Purple Ride.

“LOVED Tunde’s The Color Purple ride. There was so much energy from Tunde and the members in studio on this ride. Tunde spoke about the movie and as always her words are so moving. It was a beautiful ride. Make sure to stay until the very end,” she said.

The class is a celebration of the music of The Color Purple movie musical, which hit theaters in December 2023.

Tunde opened the class with, “Solidarity, love, sacrifice–Black women living in Jim Crow Georgia in the 20th century. Peloton, this is The Color Purple.”

She goes on to say the class is meant to be taken at your own pace, to be exactly what you design it to be. The class plan is relatively easy, made up mostly of flat roads and moderate jogs, with just a few minutes of interval pushes at the end.

Whether you’ve seen the movie or not, the music is energizing, and Tunde does a fantastic job highlighting the lyrics and how they relate to our commitment to health and fitness. This is especially powerful during the song, Finally, where Tunde reiterates that we are in this class, “showing up for me finally, taking care of me finally, loving me finally.”

Favorite Peloton Barre Class

1/18/24 Earth, Wind & Fire Barre with Hannah Corbin

Natalie Dunlop’s favorite class this week was a perfect add-on to her 30-minute bootcamp.

“15 min Earth, Wind, and Fire Barre class with Hanna Corbin. Stacked this on a 30 minute lower body, Boot Camp w/ Selena and it was fire,” she said.

The class uses a series of bridges, clamshells, and inner- and outer-leg lifts to work the lower body. Earth, Wind & Fire’s September, Boogie Wonderland, Let’s Groove, Shining Star, and Mighty Mighty keep the work feeling light and fun from start to finish.

Favorite Peloton Upper Body Strength

Ben’s Intermediate 3-Day Split: Day 1 – 30 min Upper Body: Push with Ben Alldis

Karen Smith surprised even herself with her favorite this week!

“Ben Alldis’ 30 minute upper body push. It’s day one of his intermediate 3 day split. I typically don’t care for strength classes but this one was great as well as hard! I’ll have to retake the program again because I couldn’t finish the last set of pushups!” she said.

This class is only available as part of Ben’s Intermediate 3-Day Split Program, but with only a three-class commitment, this is a program worth starting. We reviewed the program in detail on TheClipOut.com, so you can get all the details there if you’re curious.

For this class in particular, Ben focuses on upper body pushing—think pushups, presses, and extensions—working primarily the pectorals, triceps, back, and shoulders.

Ben’s music selection for this class is not surprisingly full of EDM bangers, featuring tracks by Alex Gaudino, Secondcity, Calvin Harris, Afrojack, and Avicii.

Favorite Peloton Unstackable Ride

2/3/2024 120 min Power Zone Endurance Ride with Matt Wilpers

Sometimes we want a class that leaves us in a puddle and washes all hope of a stack of extra classes away with it. We call those classes Unstackable, and we love hearing about our listeners’ Unstackable experiences.

For this week’s Unstackable recommendation, we heard from AlBizLiz: “100% the 120 with Matt Wilpers. I know the work that goes into programming and planning a ride like that and it was such a wonderful way to start the weekend!”

Armed with two bananas and an all-request playlist, Matt starts the class off by saying this is an advanced ride, and if at any moment you feel faint or dizzy to stop the bike and dismount until you feel well again.

The class plan keeps you in an all-day pace—or zones 2 and 3, if you’re familiar with power zone training. At the same time, Matt says that it does not matter how fast or hard you are riding because the goal is to just keep the pedals moving for 2 hours.

This class will certainly test your endurance and perseverance. And if you like that sort of thing, be sure to take it so that Peloton knows we want more of them!

Thank you!
