ReRuns Syncs Outdoor Routes to the Tread
ReRuns lets Peloton members bring their real-world outdoor runs and walks onto any Tread, syncing routes from the Peloton app or a connected smartwatch (Or Whoop- as of today!) and then matching the treadmill’s incline to the actual elevation of that route. It’s one of several new Peloton IQ features launching alongside Peloton’s expanded Tread lineup (and my personal favorite!), and it’s available on all Tread hardware with an All-Access Membership.
The feature works by pulling outdoor workout data a member has already logged through one of through their wearable, then auto-adjusting incline throughout the run to follow the real elevation profile of that outdoor route. Members without outdoor runs of their own can pull from a preloaded Peloton route library instead, so the feature isn’t limited to people who already track runs outside.

Marathon Routes and Run Club Segments
Peloton built ReRuns with a partnership component. The route library includes segments from the TCS New York City Marathon, developed with New York Road Runners, letting members run portions of the course on their own Tread. Past Peloton Run Club routes are included as well, giving members access to group runs they may have missed or want to repeat. One very special addition, is that Peloton has also added some of the tread instructors favorite routes. I love the pre-loaded runs; what a special treat to feel like you are running “with” your favorite instructor on their favorite route.
To capture a route on your wearable correctly, location services must be enabled during outdoor workouts, since that’s how the app captures the elevation data the feature later replicates indoors. Without that setting turned on during the original outdoor run, there’s no route data for ReRuns to sync later.

Availability
ReRuns is available on all Tread hardware. The original Tread and Tread+, and the Cross Training versions as well as the new Tread Flex, Tread Vision, and Tread+ Vision alike. It requires an All-Access Membership and goes live October 1, alongside the new treadmills.
The feature fits into Peloton’s broader marathon and race training push this fall, which also includes new structured Race Training Programs for 5K, 10K, and marathon distances. For members training for a specific outdoor race, ReRuns offers a way to rehearse the actual course terrain without leaving the house, a use case Peloton’s outdoor content hasn’t directly served before.
