Peloton Reiselust-Woche: 5 Years of German Wanderlust
Five Years of Wanderlust, One New Name
Peloton Reiselust-Woche is the new name for a class collection German-speaking members have looked forward to every summer since 2022. Peloton’s German-language instructors built the series around a simple idea: take members on a virtual trip through Germany and Austria across cycling, running, walking, strength, yoga, Pilates, meditation, and stretching classes. For its first four years, the collection appeared in the Peloton app as Summer Break. This year, it carries a new name: Reiselust, a word that translates roughly to “wanderlust.”

The rename lands as more than a cosmetic change. Peloton Reiselust-Woche keeps the format that made Summer Break popular, a week of themed classes led by the platform’s German instructor team, while giving the collection an identity that better reflects what it has always been about: movement, exploration, and a change of scenery delivered through the workout itself.
From Summer Break to Peloton Reiselust-Woche
The collection’s roots go back to 2022, when Peloton first brought its German-language instructors together for a week of travel-themed classes. By 2023, the format had a full identity. That August, instructors including Charlotte Weidenbach, Erik Jäger, Marcel Maurer, Mayla Wedekind, Cliff Dwenger, Mila Lazar, Nico Sarani, Tobias Heinze, Benny Adami, and Jeffrey McEachern led a week-long Summer Break series spanning rides, runs, walks, strength, bootcamp, core, and meditation classes, each one built around a favorite German or Austrian destination.
Irene Kaymer and Tobias Heinze have also been part of the Peloton Reiselust-Woche roster over the years, alongside instructors like Assal Arian, who joined the rotation more recently. Kaymer returned to Peloton in 2024 but left the platform again, with her last class added to the library on February 26, 2025. The collection now regularly features Peloton’s full slate of ten German-language instructors, a roster confirmed most recently during the German Cross Training program in April 2026.
What Peloton Reiselust-Woche Looks Like in 2026
This year’s Peloton Reiselust-Woche kept the format members know, a full week of themed classes across nearly every modality on the platform, including two-for-one sessions that pair instructors together for a single ride or run. What changed was the name and the framing. Peloton has described Reiselust as a collection built around movement and a change of scenery rather than a single discipline, a description that applies just as well to the Summer Break years that came before it.
For members wondering whether the two-for-one format and the full class-by-class breakdown carried over, the details are covered separately. The complete 2026 Peloton Reiselust schedule lists all ten sessions, instructor pairings, and air times.
Why the Rename Matters for German Instructors
Peloton German instructors have carried a growing share of localized programming over the past year, from the April Frühlings-Fit Challenge to the German Cross Training program. Peloton Reiselust-Woche fits that pattern. Giving the summer collection a dedicated German name, rather than a direct English translation, treats German-speaking members as a primary audience rather than a secondary market getting a translated version of English content.
Whether Peloton keeps the Reiselust name in future summers remains to be seen. What has stayed consistent since 2022 is the format: a week where Peloton’s German instructor team turns cycling, running, walking, strength, yoga, Pilates, meditation, and stretching classes into a shared trip around Germany and Austria.
