Peloton Pays Tribute to Green Day with Latest Artist Series

Peloton is set to launch its latest artist series, this time featuring the iconic punk rock band, Green Day. The series includes 11 classes, three of which are Lanebreak classes for the Bike and Tread. The classes begin on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Celebrating Their Break-through Album

This artist series isn’t just a run-on-the-mill Green Day tribute; it’s a celebration of the 30th anniversary of Green Day’s breakthrough album, Dookie. Whether you’re a ‘Basket Case’ or you’re just ‘Having a Blast,’ ‘In the End,’ there’s a class tailored for you in this lineup (see what we did there?).

Green Day: Forging Their Own Path

Green Day has always been a band that defied genres. Not quite punk enough for traditional punk fans, yet not mainstream enough to be considered a classic rock band, they carved out their own unique musical path. Their landmark album, Dookie, released in 1994, was hailed by Fuse Magazine as “the most important pop-punk album of all time.” With hit singles like “Longview,” “Basket Case,” and “When I Come Around,” the album sold over 10 million copies in the U.S., catapulting Green Day to phenomenal success. This led to appearances at major festivals such as Lollapalooza and Woodstock ’94, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album.

About Green Day

Formed in 1987 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt, Green Day has been a force in the music industry for over three decades. The band became a trio with drummer Tré Cool replacing John Kiffmeyer in 1990 before recording their second studio album, Kerplunk (1991). Green Day has sold more than 85 million records worldwide and won five Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Album for Dookie and Best Rock Album for American Idiot.

Welcome to Paradise

Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to their music, there’s no better way to get your heart pumping than with the energizing beats of Green Day’s most iconic songs. Which class are you counting yourself in for?
