Peloton is hiring a Peloton Commercial Product Manager to lead the software strategy behind its growing presence in gyms, hotels, and apartment buildings, according to a new Peloton Commercial Product Manager listing. The role was confirmed in a LinkedIn post from SVP of Product Brent Tworetzky, who said the position was created to reimagine how Peloton software works for members inside a gym or club setting.

The Peloton Commercial Product Manager Role, Explained

According to the listing, the Peloton Commercial Product Manager will report to a Director of Product Management and work across Design, Engineering, Hardware, Analytics, and Content to build a connected experience for members working out in commercial fitness spaces. The job is based in New York City and follows Peloton’s hybrid policy of three in-office days a week.

The posting lists a base salary range of $173,478 to $213,957 and requires at least four years of product management experience, along with direct experience on mobile apps or consumer software products. Experience in health and fitness, B2B businesses, or commercial gym spaces is listed as a plus, as is experience building integrated hardware and software products.

Inside the Peloton Commercial Business Unit

Tworetzky’s post frames the opening as an extension of work already underway inside the Peloton Commercial Business Unit, the division formed through the integration of Precor and Peloton for Business. As we’ve covered, Precor has become central to that unit, giving Peloton an existing footprint in commercial clubs, hotels, apartment buildings, and corporate campuses well beyond its at-home roots.

Tworetzky noted that Peloton Commercial products are expanding further later this year, which lines up with the rollout timeline for the Commercial Series, the company’s first bike and treadmill built specifically for high-traffic gym floors. Peloton executives have described this shift as part of a broader effort to meet members wherever they work out, whether that is at home, in a hotel, or on a commercial gym floor.

What the Role Will Own

Peloton Commercial Product Manager work supports this Peloton for Business Pro Series lineup for gyms and hotels

Per the job listing, the Peloton Commercial Product Manager will be responsible for:

  • Building product strategy across hardware sales, workout engagement, and retention metrics for commercial environments
  • Partnering with Engineering, Hardware, Design, and Content to blend the at-home Peloton experience with gym floor needs
  • Using user research, testing, and competitive analysis to shape product experiments
  • Managing the full product lifecycle from concept through launch
  • Coordinating across teams to keep cross-functional partners aligned on progress and dependencies

The listing also calls for strong UX and UI sensibility, along with comfort responding directly to member feedback, a detail that suggests Peloton wants this Commercial Product Manager close to how gym members actually interact with the software day to day, not just the strategy behind it. That footprint already includes a growing list of hotel partners offering Peloton equipment to guests, one more example of where this role’s work would show up for members outside the home.

Tworetzky’s framing of the post, that Peloton is known for at-home fitness but has a strong base in commercial gyms, hotels, and apartment buildings through Precor, points to a company still working to shift public perception of where its software actually lives. Filling this Peloton Commercial Product Manager role is one more sign that the commercial side of the business is getting dedicated product leadership rather than being managed as an extension of the consumer team.
