Ne-Yo Artist Series Puts Ne-Yo Alongside Alex Toussaint
Eight classes across seven formats celebrate the Grammy-winning hitmaker’s new album, including a signature ride with Alex Toussaint.

The Ne-Yo Artist Series ignites Peloton’s summer lineup with eight classes releasing across Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24. The timing lines up with the singer’s newly released tenth studio album, Highway 79, and the collection gives members a genuinely full week of ways to move to his music, from pilates and running to cycling, strength, and yoga.
From Songwriter to Solo Star
Long before Ne-Yo built a solo career, he was one of R&B’s most sought-after songwriters. He wrote Mario’s 2004 hit “Let Me Love You,” a song big enough to land him a recording contract with Def Jam almost overnight. Once he stepped into the spotlight himself, his 2006 debut album, In My Own Words, shot straight to number one on the Billboard 200. He’s since picked up three Grammy Awards, including Best Contemporary R&B Album, and built a catalog that’s stayed in rotation for two decades.
His latest chapter looks a little different. Highway 79, released July 10, is his tenth studio album and his first dive into country-inspired sound. Recorded in Nashville, the title nods to both his 1979 birth year and the Arkansas highway near where he grew up, blending his familiar R&B vocals with a country twang that’s new territory for him. The Ne-Yo Artist Series follows Peloton’s broader July Artist Series lineup, which also featured Bon Jovi earlier in the month.

Why the Ne-Yo Artist Series Stands Out
With seven different formats on the schedule, members have room to build an entire week around one artist, whether that means a strength day, a recovery day, or a long outdoor run. The Alex Toussaint ride carries extra weight here, since Ne-Yo himself is joining Toussaint in the studio for the class. It’s a rare in-person appearance tied directly to Highway 79, giving riders a firsthand look at the new material alongside the artist behind it.

Quick Facts on Ne-Yo
Before diving into the classes, here’s some background on the artist behind the Ne-Yo Artist Series.
- He wrote Mario’s 2004 hit “Let Me Love You” before launching his own recording career
- His debut album, In My Own Words, reached number one on the Billboard 200 in 2006
- Highway 79 is his tenth studio album and his first venture into country-inspired music
For a hitmaker two decades into his career, this collection captures both where Ne-Yo started and where he’s headed next. The Ne-Yo Artist Series and its Alex Toussaint ride give Peloton members plenty of ways to feel that range for themselves.
