Miley Cyrus Peloton Ad: 5 Inspiring Takeaways From Behind the Scenes
Miley, creative director Erick Rodriguez, and instructor Adrian Williams share what shaped Peloton’s Let Yourself Run shoot

Peloton’s new making-of video pulls back the curtain on the Miley Cyrus Peloton ad, with Miley, Peloton creative director Erick Rodriguez, and instructor Adrian Williams explaining what the shoot meant to them. The footage arrives alongside the 60-second hero spot Peloton released on September 22, 2026, to introduce the Peloton Tread Flex, the company’s first foldable treadmill.
The spot anchors the Let Yourself Run campaign, the next chapter of Peloton’s Let Yourself Go brand platform. According to Peloton’s announcement, it was directed by Bethany Vargas and is set to “Bass Persuades,” the title track from Miley’s tenth studio album. Peloton credits the Grammy Award-winning artist simply as Miley and notes that she is already a Peloton Member.

1. Movement Is Part of Her Performance
Miley opens the making-of by describing how she approaches exercise. “Movement is essential for me. It’s something that enhances any performance that I do,” she says.
She also reflects on the training video she once posted while preparing for a performance. “When I posted the video training for my performance, I never thought it would take off in the way that it did,” she says. “But I don’t think anyone had ever seen a singer train in the same way that an athlete does.” That idea, a singer training like an athlete, is the thread running through the Miley Cyrus Peloton ad.
2. Why the Miley Cyrus Peloton Ad Feels Authentic
Celebrity partnerships often raise the question of whether the star actually uses the product. Miley addresses it directly. “When people see me and Peloton, it’s something that’s very authentic to me,” she says. “It’s a part of my daily practice.”
Peloton’s announcement supports that, describing her as a Member who trains her lungs on the Peloton Tread. That history gives the Miley Cyrus Peloton ad a credibility that a one-time endorsement would not have.
3. A Creative Director’s View of the Shoot

Erick Rodriguez, creative director at Peloton, describes Miley as “expressive, authentic, creative.” He credits her energy with bringing the Let Yourself Run campaign to life in ways the team could not have imagined going in.

Footage from the making-of shows how that energy was captured. The crew filmed in a mirrored dance studio with wood-paneled walls and a chandelier overhead, with a camera crane tracking Miley on the Tread. Between takes, she is seen laughing with the crew beside the treadmill. The result is a Miley Cyrus Peloton ad that plays as much like a rehearsal as a workout, which suits a campaign built around a performer.
4. Adrian Williams on What Members Can Take From It
Adrian Williams appears in the making-of video, speaking to what Miley brought to set. “She’s just been like a rock and sturdy and sound,” he says. “And I think that’s inspiring for everyone.”

He extends that point beyond music. “Whether you are a runner, a musician, an actor, it’s inspiring for all of us to see someone like this,” he says. For members who already take Adrian’s classes, his perspective ties the Miley Cyrus Peloton ad back to the instructors they train with every week.
5. Moving Without a Goal Attached
The making-of closes on the idea at the core of the campaign. “I think all of us can really benefit from running, moving, dancing for no reason, for no gain, but just being in that moment,” Miley says.

Peloton frames the Let Yourself Run campaign the same way, presenting every run, walk, or hike as a chance for personal release rather than a performance target. It builds on the approach Peloton took with the Hudson Williams Let Yourself Go spot, which moved from Tread runs to strength and floor work. The Miley Cyrus Peloton ad narrows that focus to running while keeping the same message: movement itself can be the point.
Where the Miley Cyrus Peloton Ad Goes From Here
Peloton Chief Marketing Officer Megan Imbres said the company is moving away from high-pressure optimization and data obsession toward what she called “an era of optimism that celebrates what the body can do.” She described Miley as a natural fit because she is an authentic Peloton Member with a history with the brand.
The Let Yourself Run campaign is running across television, streaming, online video, social media, and digital out-of-home placements in the US and Canada, according to Peloton. A Miley Artist Series featuring music from Bass Persuades is set to arrive on the Peloton platform in early October.
The new Peloton Tread Flex and the Tread software features that come with it, including IQ Pace Targets, are on a similar timeline, with the features arriving October 1. The Miley Cyrus Peloton ad introduces the hardware. The Artist Series will show whether Miley’s connection with members carries from the screen into their class queues.
