Matt Wilpers and Jeffrey McEachern Finish Boston Marathon

Huge congratulations are in order to Matt Wilpers and Jeffrey McEachern, both of whom ran and finished the Boston Marathon today.  Under sunny skies and with temps hovering around 70 degrees, it was a glorious day for a marathon, and Matt finished with a time of 3:11:40 and Jeffrey finished with a time of 3:40:19.

Matt’s Road to Boston

Matt has had his eye on Boston for a while, but an injury and COVID got in the way of past plans, despite qualifying two times for the race.  However, the stars aligned this year and he finally got his chance to hit the streets of Beantown.  For Matt, Boston has been the Holy Grail of marathons and he announced his entry into the race during his February 9, 2024 class after being invited to run with Maurten Gels, an energy gel company.

Jeffrey’s Marathon Marathon SZN

Jeffrey was all smiles on the course in Boston today.  In addition to Boston, Jeffrey has run multiple other marathons in the past year, including Berlin in 2023, Los Angeles in March, is looking forward to London this coming Sunday, April 21 and New York this fall.  With all of these marathons lined up, it makes sense that Jeffrey might have a tip or two to share, and he did exactly that earlier today on his Instagram account.

Congratulations again to both of these fleet-footed Instructors on their incredible finishes!  We’re so lucky we have them as coaches at Peloton!
