Triumphant Return: Leanne Hainsby-Alldis Inspires at the Longevity Show with a Powerful Fitness Message
If you needed a reminder of why Leanne Hainsby-Alldis is one of the most compelling voices in UK fitness, her first public speaking appearance since the birth of her son delivered it in style. Taking to the stage at the Longevity Show in London, Leanne joined forces with Joe Wicks and Dan Hancock for a conversation that cut straight to the heart of what fitness is really for, and why choosing between cardio and strength is the wrong question entirely.
Who Is Leanne Hainsby Alldis?
Leanne Hainsby-Alldis is a former professional dancer, health and wellness expert, and Peloton instructor who joined the Peloton family in 2018, leading the way for launching the brand in London as their first female instructor in the UK. Her career in dance took her to extraordinary heights; throughout her dancing career she worked with some of the world’s biggest pop stars, including Taylor Swift, Kylie Minogue, and Katy Perry.
In recent years, Leanne has become one of the most open and courageous voices in wellness. In 2022, at age 35, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent six months of treatment, including chemotherapy, while continuing to teach classes and publicly sharing her experience to inspire others and promote early detection. Her now public journey with grief and breast cancer has led her to be at the forefront of building awareness for young females.
The couple welcomed their first child, son Ace Eddie Alldis, on December 10, 2025. Leanne and her husband, fellow Peloton instructor Ben Alldis, announced the arrival with an Instagram post that read simply: “Ace Eddie Alldis 10/12/25. Our beautiful baby boy, more in love than we ever could have imagined.” The birth came after a pregnancy during which Leanne continued to teach and speak openly about the physical and emotional journey of expecting, always with the same honesty and warmth her community has come to love.
What Is the Longevity Show?
The Longevity Show is the UK’s first longevity festival, designed to help people discover what really works for living healthier and longer. Taking place at Tobacco Dock, London, the show brought the fast-growing world of longevity out of clinics, labs and podcasts and into the hands of the public. The two-day event brought together more than 150 expert speakers across four stages: the Headliner Stage, Discover, Business, and the Women’s Health Summit.
From world-leading scientists and pioneering clinicians to visionary founders and globally recognized names, the show set out to change the conversation around health, ageing and longevity. Alongside the headline talks, visitors could experience workouts with lululemon, Peloton, Hyperice and Sanctum, health testing and diagnostics in the Assessment Lab, cold plunges, IV therapies, a Longevity Rave, and much more. As co-founder Phil Newman put it, longevity is not about chasing immortality; it is about living better, staying functional for longer, and building the products, services and systems that make healthier ageing possible.
Who Are Joe Wicks and Dan Hancock?
Leanne was joined on stage by two heavyweights of the UK fitness world. Joe Wicks, also known as The Body Coach, is a British fitness coach, television presenter, social media personality and author whose fitness method uses High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts. During the pandemic in 2020, he began “PE with Joe” on YouTube to help children stay active, a livestream that was viewed by over a million users worldwide, for which he was awarded his MBE in the Birthday Honors of 2020. He has since become one of the most recognized fitness personalities in the country, with millions of followers across social media and a bestselling book and app to his name.
Dan Hancock, known online as the Mental Health PT, brings a distinctly different angle to fitness. He is the founder of the Award in Mental Health and Exercise Coaching, helping fitness professionals use exercise as a tool for mental wellbeing. Dan’s philosophy grew from his own personal experience of trauma and his realization that most people exercise to look a certain way, when the real reason they want to get fit is to improve their overall happiness, confidence and self-worth. His work in bridging the gap between physical movement and mental health has helped him build a following of tens of thousands and train hundreds of personal trainers in a more holistic approach to fitness.
The Longevity Show: Leanne’s First Speaking Event Since Having Ace
Sharing the news on Instagram, Leanne wrote: “Really enjoyed this conversation at the Longevity Show. My first speaking event since having Ace, and one that reminded me why I’m SO passionate about helping people be FIT FOR LIFE, not just for aesthetics.”
The conversation centered on the much-debated cardio versus strength question, but Leanne was characteristically clear in her position. For her, the answer has never been one or the other. As she put it: “The real magic is in cross-training. Building strength, looking after your heart, maintaining mobility, protecting your bones and doing it all in a way that’s sustainable, and fun.”
It is a perspective that feels deeply personal coming from someone who has navigated breast cancer treatment, grief, pregnancy, and new motherhood while remaining one of the most trusted voices in fitness. Leanne acknowledged that her convictions have only strengthened with time and experience: “The older I get (and after everything my body has been through), the more convinced I am that fitness isn’t about choosing sides. It’s about building a body that’s strong, healthy and resilient for the long run.”
She also spoke warmly about sharing the stage with Joe Wicks, describing him as a “forever” source of inspiration and calling it a “very real pleasure” to appear alongside him, even if the London heatwave made the experience, in her words, a “VERY HOT” one.
An Inspiring Return
There is something quietly significant about this appearance. Leanne did not come back to the public stage with a flashy announcement or a brand deal. She came back with a message rooted in substance: that fitness should serve your life, not the other way around.
Her contribution to the Longevity Show highlighted the growing recognition that sustainable lifestyle change relies not only on knowledge but on connection, support and the ability to translate intention into daily practice. In a world saturated with extreme fitness challenges and aesthetic-first messaging, that is a genuinely radical thing to say from a mainstage platform.
Becoming a mother, recovering from cancer, and losing close friends have all shaped the lens through which Leanne approaches movement. The Longevity Show gave her the platform to share that evolved perspective with an audience ready to hear it, and she delivered with exactly the kind of grounded, passionate clarity that has always made her so compelling to follow.
As she signed off: “More of this.” We couldn’t agree more.
