Peloton Spotify Songs of Summer Collection Launches With 4 Fun Classes
Peloton has released a new multi-modality Collection built around Spotify’s biggest songs of the almost-over season. The Peloton Spotify Songs of Summer collection went live On Demand on Thursday, September 3, pairing four instructors with tracks pulled directly from Spotify’s 2026 Songs of Summer picks.
What’s in the Peloton Spotify Songs of Summer Collection
The Peloton Spotify Songs of Summer collection includes four 30-minute classes spanning three disciplines. Matt Wilpers leads the Row, Camila Ramón and Ally Love each lead a Ride, and Jon Hosking leads the Run. All four dropped On Demand at 12:00 a.m. ET on September 3, giving members a full slate to choose from as soon as the collection dropped rather than a staggered rollout across the week.
Pairing four different instructors with a single music concept mirrors a format Peloton leans on frequently. Earlier this year, the platform used a similar multi-instructor, multi-class approach for its Boy Band Week programming, and Peloton’s long-running Top 50 Music Countdown has followed the same playbook around member listening data at year’s end.
The Top Songs of Summer countdown itself is not new to Peloton either. Last year’s version ran as a Top 10 countdown in July with a full countdown following in September, so this year’s Spotify-branded collection reads as an evolution of that seasonal tradition.
Some of the artists include: Ariana Grande, Burna Boy, Noah Kahan, Zara Larsson, Olivia Rodrigo, and Tame Impala. Any guesses on the songs? Do you have any tunes stuck in your head yet? While some of the playlists are similar across the four classes, there is some variation.

How It Fits Peloton’s Spotify Partnership
The timing lines up with a partnership Peloton has been building out since April. Peloton and Spotify launched their content licensing deal that month, placing more than 1,400 Peloton classes inside Spotify’s fitness category for Premium subscribers. Peloton has since described the arrangement as a high-margin way to reach audiences who may never buy Peloton hardware, and the company has continued adding to it, including Aditi Shah’s Zara Larsson Pilates class last month.
The Spotify Songs of Summer collection works differently. Rather than moving Peloton content onto Spotify’s app, it brings Spotify’s own editorial picks, drawn from the streaming service’s annual Songs of Summer predictions, into the Peloton platform itself. It is the clearest sign yet that the two companies are building in both directions rather than treating the deal as a one-way content licensing arrangement.

Peloton Studios previewed the collection with a short Instagram teaser from its official account, asking followers how well they know their own summer playlist and challenging its instructors to guess tracks by the lyrics only. Hilariously, most commenters had little faith that Matt would be able to “name that tune” in this way. But wow, this was the most poetic we’ve seen him be!
For members who track Peloton’s music programming closely, the Peloton Spotify Songs of Summer collection offers a low-commitment way to sample the partnership’s second phase. With four classes across three disciplines available to enjoy now, the open question is whether Peloton expands the collection later in future seasons or treats it as a single late-summer drop tied to Spotify’s ongoing playlist updates and the fun summer vibes of that season’s popular music.
