Selena Samuela is Italian-American, raised in Italy in a family of professional soccer players before moving to Hawaii for college, where she picked up surfing and found her way into fitness. She joined Peloton in 2018 and now teaches live, on-camera running, strength, and bootcamp classes, along with shadowboxing and outdoor formats. She created Peloton’s first sport-specific training program, Strength for Golfers, and appears alongside Jess Sims in the mat-based Floor Bootcamp 2 program. Off the platform, she hosts A Court of Books and Baddies (ACOBAB), a romantasy-focused book club on the Fable app that has built its own devoted following alongside her fitness audience.

Selena has navigated pregnancy and postpartum recovery in public more than once. She gave birth to her son Torin in December 2022 after withdrawing from a planned July 2023 IRONMAN race to prioritize recovery, a decision she framed at the time as a lesson in listening to her body. In December 2025 she welcomed twin daughters, Stella and Frankie, after a pregnancy she has described as complicated, and returned to the Peloton live schedule in stages through the first half of 2026.

Her return started with a packed week of live classes in early May, including a Mother’s Day Walk + Run, and continued through the summer as she rebuilt her full rotation, culminating in the return of her Tread Bootcamp format in June, her first bootcamp class since August 2025. She also earned a pre and postnatal fitness certification in July 2026, a credential she has said gave her far more clinical support navigating the twin pregnancy than she had the first time around, and has been building postpartum-focused content for members asking about their own return to running and higher-impact training.
