Mariana Fernández grew up in a family of athletes, with a marathon-running mother who is still logging miles in her 70s. That foundation shaped her own path: she became a bilingual yoga teacher, leading classes from Mexico City to New York City before joining Peloton on April 22, 2021 as the platform’s first Spanish-bilingual instructor. She now teaches across Tread, yoga, meditation, and running and walking classes, with a coaching style she describes as built to make members both smile and sweat.

Outside the studio, Fernández is a serious endurance athlete in her own right, with more than 30 years of running and racing behind her. She has run the NYC Marathon multiple times and, in 2024, placed second in her age group at the San Diego International Triathlon, completing the 1k swim, 30k bike, and 10k run course in 2:14:31. In May 2026, she joined fellow instructor Camila Ramón at the Brooklyn Half Marathon, and she is part of the instructor lineup for Peloton’s Pace Your Race, an 18-week marathon training program that launched April 24, 2026.

2026 has also marked a major milestone for Fernández on the platform: her five-year Peloton anniversary. Peloton celebrated with Mariana’s Greatest Hits Collection, a curated set of 60 classes spanning her running, yoga, meditation, and Spanish-language work, organized into six categories including a dedicated “Greatest of All Time en Español” section. That same spring, she launched Run + Flow, a new four-class series pairing a Tread run directly with a mat-based yoga recovery flow, releasing on a biweekly cadence from June 5 through the closing class on July 17. An invite circulating among members in mid-July pointed to a possible in-person Run + Flow Club event at Peloton Studios New York on July 29, though Peloton had not confirmed it publicly as of this writing.
