Emma Lovewell grew up on Martha’s Vineyard, the daughter of two artistic parents; her mother moved to the United States from Taiwan. Before Peloton, she worked as a professional dancer, dance coach, fitness model, personal trainer, Pilates instructor, and DJ, a background that shows up in the heavy-beat playlists she brings to her classes. She joined Peloton as an instructor in 2017, teaching across cycling, Pilates, walking, hiking, and strength. In 2024 she published a memoir, “Live Learn Love Well: Lessons From a Life of Progress Not Perfection,” drawing on her upbringing and career for a book about growth through imperfection. That August, she and her fiancé, Dave Clark, welcomed their daughter Skylar, born “healthy and right on time” at 42 weeks and 4 days; Lovewell took maternity leave through the end of that summer before returning to the platform.

Lovewell’s signature Crush Your Core program has become one of Peloton’s most completed series, with over 25 million workouts logged by more than 1.6 million members across its first two installments. In February 2026, she appeared on ABC News Live Weekend with newscaster Gio Benitez to promote “Crush Your Core 3: 14-Day Streak,” demonstrating bear planks and discussing core strength as safe for pregnancy and postpartum fitness. On April 3, 2026, she taught her first-ever 45-minute Pilates class on the platform. She’s also become a regular keynote and public speaker, addressing the California Association of Directors of Activities conference in early 2026 and delivering a keynote at the Valley Health System Foundation’s Women for Health luncheon in New Jersey on May 13, 2026.

In April 2026, Lovewell moderated a fireside chat with Sarah Robb O’Hagan, Peloton’s new Chief Content and Member Development Officer, who joined the company April 1, 2026, after roughly three decades at Nike, Gatorade, Equinox, Flywheel Sports, and Strava, most recently as CEO of EXOS. The internal conversation, framed as a member-turned-teammate welcome rather than a corporate press event, underscored Lovewell’s growing role bridging the studio and Peloton’s leadership. In July 2026, she added two lifestyle placements within days of each other: a partnership with furniture brand Arhaus building a curated home collection around her taste, and a First For Women interview covering her summer training routine, motherhood, and recovery habits. She told the outlet that becoming a mother reshaped her relationship with training, that shorter, efficient workouts now count as much as longer sessions, and that her mindset has shifted from working out for appearance to working out for the energy to keep up with her daughter. The Arhaus deal builds on a home-focused thread that’s followed her for years, including a feature in Rue Magazine and a Kohler-documented bathroom renovation chronicled on her Substack newsletter.
