Four Years of Motivation with Erik Jäger

Last Updated: January 30, 2024By Tags: , ,

It’s been four years since Erik Jäger became a Peloton instructor, and he continues to inspire and motivate thousands of members with his German-speaking cycling and strength classes. Let’s take a closer look at Erik’s journey with Peloton, his favorite moments, and his future plans.

The Early Days: From Personal Training to Peloton

As a child, Erik played goalie for his soccer-loving sister, and soon fell into athletics himself- besides soccer, he also enjoyed handball and cycling, and eventually found himself  a personal trainer working with elite athletes. His Peloton journey began in early 2020, when he joined as the second German-speaking instructor alongside Irene Scholz Kaymer (who later left Peloton- but is soon to return!)

Since then, Erik has become a beloved member of the Peloton community. He has built a loyal following thanks to his engaging personality, challenging workouts, and inspiring playlists. He also collaborated with other instructors, frequently his fellow German-speaking instructors- such as Jeffrey McEachern, Cliff Dwenger, and Charlotte Weidenbach, to create unforgettable rides and classes.

Favorite Moments: Pride, Halloween, and More

Erik’s four years with Peloton have been filled with memorable moments. He has led Pride-themed rides (being a strong LGBTQ+ ally, and also particularly proud of the 2023 one, in coordinating outfits with the confetti-flinging Benny), Halloween rides (his favorite costumes seem to involve devil horns– what does that tell us?), Peloton on Tour in Berlin, and the All for One music festival. He has also visited Peloton Studios New York and enjoyed his time with the PSNY trainers.

One of Erik’s proudest moments was hosting a Social Sports Day in Berlin to raise money to support youth access to and equality in sports. He is passionate about using his platform to make a positive impact on people’s lives, both inside and outside of the Peloton community.

Looking Ahead: Collaboration, Fitness, and Fun

As Erik celebrates his fourth anniversary with Peloton, he is excited about what the future holds. He plans to continue collaborating with other instructors to create new and exciting workouts. He also wants to focus on helping members achieve their fitness goals and lead healthy, active lives.

He encourages everyone to try Peloton’s German-speaking classes and strength classes, which offer a challenging and fun workout experience. He also shares stretching and strength moves on his Instagram, so be sure to follow him there for more fitness inspiration.

Congratulations on your fourth anniversary as a Peloton instructor, Erik! We look forward to the years to come!
