Special Chelsea Jackson Roberts Studio Museum Event June 20
Chelsea Jackson Roberts Brings Yoga to Studio Museum Harlem
A Juneteenth Wellness Morning at One of Harlem’s Newest Cultural Landmarks
Chelsea Jackson Roberts is heading to Harlem for a community wellness session on June 20, bringing her yoga and breathwork practice to the Studio Museum in Harlem as part of the museum’s Member Wellness Mornings series.
The Chelsea Jackson Roberts Studio Museum session runs from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and takes place on the museum’s outdoor Stoop, a public-facing space at 144 West 125th Street in the heart of Harlem. The event is open to Studio Museum members and is powered by lululemon, for which Chelsea serves as a global ambassador.

Chelsea Jackson Roberts Studio Museum Appearance: What to Expect
The session is described by the museum as a restorative experience of seated gentle movement, breath work, and deep relaxation. It will also feature live harp music from Angelica Hairston, whose presence frames the session as something closer to a meditation event than a conventional yoga class.
The timing is deliberate. June 20 falls on Juneteenth, and the Studio Museum’s framing of the session explicitly centers that context, positioning the practice as both a wellness offering and a form of cultural commemoration. The pairing of Chelsea’s embodied practice with live music and a historically significant date reflects the kind of intentional programming she has long been known for.

This is the second session in the Member Wellness Mornings series. The series is exclusive to museum members, so an RSVP is required to attend.
A Pattern of Community-Centered Work
Chelsea Jackson Roberts’ Studio Museum appearance is consistent with a body of off-platform work she has built over the years. In March, GirlTrek, a national wellness movement focused on Black women’s health and community, brought members into Peloton Studios New York for a special yoga class with Chelsea. That session, covered by The Clip Out, connected movement, music, and cultural identity in much the same way the Harlem event does.
She also appeared at NAMICon 2026 in Atlanta, where she was part of a mental health programming block presented through lululemon and Hollywood & Mind. That session focused on the intersection of wellness and emotional resilience, topics that run through Chelsea’s Peloton classes as well as her Substack newsletter, “The Embodied Resistance.”
Her approach has roots that predate Peloton. She holds a doctorate in Educational Studies from Emory University and founded Yoga, Literature, and Art Camp at Spelman College Museum of Fine Art to bring yoga to young women, with an emphasis on making the practice accessible across backgrounds and bodies. That history informs everything she does, including a Peloton yoga series, The Chelsea Set, that incorporated live guest DJs and intentional cultural framing.
Chelsea has also been a visible presence in New York City beyond studio walls, regularly sharing moments of her family exploring the city, from museum visits to neighborhood outings. That thread of engagement with NYC’s cultural life runs directly through this Studio Museum moment.
Off-Platform and On Brand
Chelsea’s lululemon ambassadorship is central to how the Studio Museum event is framed. The museum lists lululemon, not Peloton, as the presenting partner. That is consistent with how her recent NAMICon appearance was announced, and it reflects a pattern worth noting: Chelsea’s community work often comes through lululemon channels rather than Peloton ones. It is worth following her own social accounts and the Studio Museum for updates closer to the event.
