Surprising Clues Point to a Potential Boyz II Men Peloton Artist Series
Could a Boyz II Men Artist Series be Coming to Peloton?
A Boyz II Men stretch class led by Cliff Dwenger briefly appeared in Peloton’s On Demand library on April 20, then disappeared without explanation. That alone would be worth a raised eyebrow. But stack it against a cancelled Backstreet Boys Artist Series, a Peloton instructor teasing a mystery music project, and a legendary R&B group actively out on tour, and you have the ingredients for something genuinely interesting.
Here is what we know and what the pieces might be pointing to.
Boyz II Men Show Up, Then Vanish
We noticed a stretch class with instructor Cliff Dwenger appear overnight on April 20 in the On Demand library. It was labelled as Boyz II Men. Then it was gone.
That kind of brief appearance and quiet removal is not typical of how standard content rolls out. Peloton has never given Boyz II Men their own Artist Series, though the group’s music is no stranger to the platform, featured in 172 classes. That is a solid library presence for a group that has never headlined a dedicated series.
The Backstreet Boys Gap
The timing matters. The Backstreet Boys Artist Series that was scheduled for April 23, 2026 was cancelled, with all planned classes replaced by standard, non-themed programming. The Clip Out reached out to Peloton for an explanation, and the company responded that the cancellation was due to “a shift in programming and scheduling.” We don’t know if the cancellation was temporary or permanent, or if there was some issue with the licensing that could have played a role.
This cancellation left a significant blank in April’s Artist Series calendar. The Justin Bieber Artist Series took place earlier this month as originally planned, but it was the only one (just that and BSB were scheduled at all, so it was laready a light month). The Backstreet Boys series would have been the third feature with Peloton, dating back to Cody Rigsby’s May 2019 ride celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Millennium album, and a December 2024 Artist Series that spanned multiple modalities.
So: one series cancelled, one mystery class appears and disappears. Is Peloton quietly swapping one ’90s act for another?
Boyz II Men Are Very Much Active
Boyz II Men recently completed The New Edition Way Tour, a 30-city run alongside New Edition and Toni Braxton, powered by the Black Promoters Collective. The group has continued to tour extensively and has upcoming dates through the fall of 2026. That level of activity suggests the group is very much open for business and engaged with their audience.
An Artist Series partnership with Peloton would slot naturally into that momentum. The millennial demographic that drives both Peloton engagement and Boyz II Men nostalgia overlap significantly. These are fans who came of age with “End of the Road,” “I’ll Make Love to You,” and “On Bended Knee.” A dedicated series would likely land very well.

What About Cliff Dwenger?
This is where the speculation gets more layered. Cliff Dwenger, the PSL instructor with a growing music career on the side, recently reunited with Bernarda, his peer from when they were on The Voice of Germany 2025. Together, they performed Beyoncé’s “Freedom” together in what Cliff described as “an unforgettable moment.” That bond has since evolved into what appears to be a new music project. With Cliff urging followers to “stay tuned,” the details of the project remain unconfirmed. We covered that hint here.
So here is the question worth asking: could a Boyz II Men Artist Series be part of that “more soon”? A stretch class is a relatively low-key format, often used as an on-demand drop rather than a live event. It could easily be a pre-recorded piece that slipped into the library before its intended release. Cliff leading that class would make him a natural bridge between the Artist Series and his own music world, if there is indeed a crossover planned.
The Genre Fits, Even If It Isn’t a Perfect Match
Boyz II Men and the Backstreet Boys occupy different corners of the ’90s. One is R&B harmony, the other is pop. But in terms of Peloton’s Artist Series history and the broader nostalgic appeal both artists hold for millennial members, they serve similar purposes. Boyz II Men occupying that same space, with their own dedicated series, would not be a “stretch” at all (haha).
What We Don’t Know
To be clear: Peloton has not announced a Boyz II Men Artist Series. We do not know why the stretch class appeared and was removed. We do not know whether the Backstreet Boys cancellation and the Boyz II Men class sighting are connected. Cliff’s music project has not been formally revealed, and any link between that project and a potential Artist Series is speculative.
What we do know is that Peloton left a notable gap in April’s programming, a class tied to Boyz II Men briefly surfaced in the library, and one of the platform’s most musically active instructors is in the middle of teasing something new. Whether those dots connect remains to be seen.
We will update this article if Peloton makes any announcements. In the meantime, if you want context on the cancelled Backstreet Boys series, read our full coverage here. And for more on Cliff Dwenger’s musical background and Voice of Germany history, this article from The Clip Out has the details.
Millennial Peloton members are watching this one closely. If Boyz II Men does land on the platform with a full Artist Series, it will be very well earned.
