Auto resistance coming to power zone

Auto Resistance Coming to Power Zone Rides on the Bike+

Attention Power Zone fans – per Power Zone guru (Matt Wilpers), Facebook (Meta) account, Power Zone rides on the Bike+ will begin incorporating the auto-resistance feature. The auto resistance feature was introduced on the Peloton Bike+, but is unavailable on the Peloton original Bike.

Auto Resistance Lovers Rejoice!

Until now, the auto resistance feature has been absent from Power Zone rides, likely because Power Zone rides call for maintaining a certain Power Zone regardless of the rider’s preferred cadence or resistance. Now, the auto resistance will begin appearing on Power Zone rides. According to Matt’s Facebook post, the auto resistance will keep the rider in the middle of the specific zone that is called out by the instructor. For those who prefer to pick their own cadence, the auto resistance feature on the Bike+ can be disabled.

Busy Past Year in the Power Zone Community

It’s been an exciting past few months for the Peloton Power Zone community. This past November, Peloton added three new Power Zone instructors to its ranks, Hannah Frankson and Charlotte Weidenbach, of the London studio and Tunde Oyeneyin based in New York. Peloton also suggested a possible new metric for Power Zone rides.

Stay Tuned for More Info

At this time, we do not know whether the auto resistance feature will apply to new rides henceforth, or will apply to prior rides already in the Peloton library. Once we get more information, we’ll update you.
