If you know German pop, you know Wolfgang Petry, and starting Tuesday, September 8, you can sweat to his biggest hits right from the bike or tread. The Wolfgang Petry Artist Series brings four classes to Peloton this week, all led by the platform’s German instructor team, and it’s part of a bigger Schlager Week celebration Peloton’s been building out.

Petry’s been a fixture in German music since the ‘70s, but it was the ‘90s that really cemented his legend status. Born in Cologne back in 1951, he’s spent decades earning the title of one of Schlager’s most defining voices, think romantic, sing-along, melody-first pop that Germany just can’t get enough of. His 1996 album Alles was his first to hit number one, and he kept the streak going with Einfach Geil! in 1998 and Konkret in 2000. Ten Goldene Stimmgabel wins and more than 18 million records sold later, it’s safe to say the guy’s earned his spot in the Schlager hall of fame.
