This and That: Week of August 24

As summer comes to a close, Peloton news surely does not.  We again bring you five of this week’s hottest Peloton news topics that you may have missed in August 24th’s This and That! Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Bradley and his wife Sophia climb Ben Nevis

Congrats are in order for Bradley Rose and his wife Sophia Parra on climbing Scotland’s Ben Nevis!  The hike up the 4413’ mountain typically takes around 7 hours, and they two reached the summit in only 5.5.  Sophia took to Instagram to document the couple’s trek, noting that the view from the top is only clear 10 days a year; they two battled fog, hail, rain, and freezing temperatures but smiled the whole time.  Perhaps a new idea for a day-date?  We’d be willing to give it a try!

Just Guidance: New Feature on Bike, Tread, and Row

A new feature called Just Guidance has just rolled out for the Bike, Tread, and Row.  When using any of these 3 platforms in any non-face-to-face capacity (Just Workout, Kindle, Netflix, etc.), audio cues from your favorite instructors chime in to tell you when to change things up.  The Just Guidance workouts are separated by difficulty and workout-type, so choose what fits you best, zone out with a good book, and go get a great workout!

Camila Featured on NBC 4 News New York

Camila Ramon was featured on NBC 4 News New York in their Latino segment this week!  Their piece highlighted how the first Spanish-speaking Peloton cycling instructor teaches with passion and is unapologetically herself which is gained her over 63,000 followers in her Mila Mafia group.  Camila prides herself on eliminating negative self-talk, encouraging body acceptance, and teaching us how to exercise for longevity.  Her energetic personality and be-yourself attitude never ceases to bring a smile to everyone’s face who takes her classes.  Thanks, Camila, for always keeping us feeling and looking our best while learning to embrace who we really are!

Buy a Bike, Get $100 to Spend at Dicks!

Peloton is currently offering a promotion along with Dicks Sporting Goods.  If you have found yourself on the fence with purchasing a Bike or Bike+, now is the time to invest.  We are unsure when this promotion is ending, but Peloton is currently offering a deal where if you purchase a Bike or Bike+, you get a $100 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods.  It’s a win-win for all – workout in your own home and grab those sneakers, workout shorts, or dumbbells you’ve been eyeing up, courtesy of Peloton!

Ben and Leanne to Speak at Happy Place Festival

Ben and Leanne Alldis will be speaking next weekend at the Happy Place Festival in Tatton Park, UK!  This two-day festival highlights all things well-being: health, fitness, and the arts.  The couple will be speaking on the first day of the festival August 31 at 12:15 BST.  They plan to discuss being Fit for Life in their talk, and also note they will be attending the festival outside of their time on the stage.  Tickets are still available on the Happy Place Festival website, so if you’re in the area and would like some health and fitness inspiration, grab some and head on over!

That wraps up This and That for the week of August 24, but we’ll see you next week for the next installment: same time, same place!
