She Has Been Preparing

Selena did not just announce the return. She documented her preparation for it. In the Instagram reel accompanying her post, she can be seen practicing different versions of her class opening, getting ready to step back in front of members with her full coaching presence. The video captures her at home, still navigating new twin mom life while getting mentally locked in for Selena Samuela’s first live class back on the schedule.

It is a small detail that says a lot. She is not easing back in quietly. She is preparing the way she always has.

One Instructor, a Wide Range of Content

Members waiting on Selena Samuela’s first live class may not realize just how deep her content library already runs. Samuela teaches across a wide range of formats on Peloton including running, tread bootcamp, strength, shadowboxing, HIIT Cardio, stretching, and outdoor classes. She also created Peloton’s first sport-specific training program, Strength for Golfers, a one-week program built around stability, power, and mobility for players at any level. She is a certified Titleist Performance Institute coach, and the program reflects that expertise.

If shadowboxing is new territory for you, The Clip Out recently covered why it is one of Peloton’s most underrated corners of the content library. It is worth exploring before Selena Samuela’s first live class drops on May 7.

Tread, Strength, and More With Selena Samuela

Samuela is one of Peloton’s running and strength instructors, with a coaching style that has built a dedicated following across multiple disciplines. Her tread classes emphasize running mechanics, speed work, and endurance. Her strength classes are built around functional movement and progressive overload, making them accessible to members at different stages of their training.

For members working toward well-rounded fitness, her range makes her a consistent resource whether the goal is race training, strength development, or simply mixing things up. Returning via an Intermediate Upper Body Strength class is a fitting re-entry point that plays directly to one of her core disciplines.

As Selena Samuela’s first live class approaches, it is worth noting she has also been training toward completing a half Ironman by the end of 2026. The Clip Out covered that goal in detail earlier this month, and her own endurance work continues to shape her perspective as a coach. Members can expect that to show through as she builds back into a regular teaching rhythm.

Why Selena Samuela’s First Live Class Is Worth Catching in Real Time

Live classes on Peloton create a shared experience that on-demand content does not replicate. The real-time leaderboard, the energy of thousands of members working out at the same time, and the direct connection with the instructor make live classes a different kind of workout.

When Selena first announced she was heading back to the schedule, she asked her community which class types they missed most. Choosing the live format as her return vehicle answers that question directly. For her community, May 7 is a chance to be part of a milestone moment as it happens.

Favorite the class in the app, clear your 1:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, and get ready to be back on the leaderboard with Sel. Are you planning to catch Selena Samuela’s first live class back, or will you grab it on demand?
