Selena Samuela New Balance Event Celebrates NYC Runners
Latest Selena Samuela New Balance Event Cheers for Women in the NYC Running Community
The Peloton tread instructor shared her personal running philosophy at a June 4, 2026 panel just months after her postpartum comeback to the sport.
Peloton tread instructor Selena Samuela appeared at a New Balance panel in New York City on June 4, joining a special group of women the brand brought together to celebrate the NYC running community. This Selena Samuela New Balance event appearance is the latest chapter in a partnership that has been active since 2021, and it reflects how consistently she has shown up for the brand across that time. She described the evening on Instagram as an honor, and kept her message direct: “Running makes me a better person. Full stop. I’m a nicer, kinder human when I get some milage in.”

Inside a Partnership Built on Running
This combo is a solid match. New Balance announced Samuela as an official ambassador back in October 2021, with the brand’s Chief Marketing Officer citing her refusal to stay in one lane as the draw. The collaboration has centered on product campaigns, community runs, and events, with running and sustainability as the core pillars. Samuela is also a certified RRCA running coach.
Selena has been put to the test in recent months. During her second pregnancy, Samuela was diagnosed with placenta previa and paused her tread and running classes at Peloton on medical advice. She welcomed twin daughters Stella and Frankie in December 2025, joining older brother Torin. By May 2026, she was back in the Peloton live studio with running classes back on her schedule. Hooray!
The postpartum comeback is woven directly into the story behind this Selena Samuela New Balance event appearance. In a post from the week before the panel, she credited the New Balance 1080 as the transitional shoe that carried her from post-delivery walks through walk-run intervals and back into full running. “From power walks to my first walk+runs and everything in between,” she wrote.
That lived experience is precisely what makes her a credible voice on a panel about women and running. She is not only a coach and ambassador. She is also someone who lost access to the sport through a medical complication and is working to earn it back. She also keeps it real, being honest in her IG stories about the challenges of trying to do it all while making sure to give herself grace.
For the women in that room, and for Peloton members catching up on the ‘gram, the through line was the same one she has always taught: running is not just training. It is a practice that makes everything else work better. We love to see a Selena Samuela New Balance event like this one, where she can shine a light for herself and others!
