Selena Samuela Earns Pre and Postnatal Fitness Certification

Last Updated: July 17, 2026By Tags: , , ,

The Peloton instructor says the credential and pelvic floor physical therapy gave her far more support navigating her twin pregnancy.

Selena Samuela says she’s officially earned a pre and postnatal fitness certification, a credential she credits with helping her navigate a complicated twin pregnancy with far more support than she had the first time around.

Selena Samuela’s Pre and Postnatal Fitness Certification, Explained

Samuela shared the update on Instagram, writing that working with pelvic floor physical therapists and earning her own certification “have been a game changer this time around.” She noted that her most recent pregnancy involved twins and a number of complications, and that going in with more knowledge made a real difference compared to her first postpartum experience. The pre and postnatal fitness certification covers pelvic floor recovery, core coordination, and safe progression back into higher impact training, the exact areas Samuela says shaped her approach this time.

The distinction matters to Samuela because of how her first postpartum recovery played out. She has said she leaned on physical markers like strength and mobility to judge her readiness back then, without the same guidance on pelvic floor healing that she has now. This time, she said, she had both the credential and the clinical support in place before she needed them.

Members React With Their Own Postpartum Running Questions

The post drew a heavy response from members in the comments, many of them sharing their own Selena Samuela postpartum running struggles and asking follow up questions about timelines for returning to running and other higher impact training. It’s a natural extension of the postpartum content she’s already been building on the platform since returning from her own leave.

What Comes Next

Worth watching for whether this pre and post fitness certification shows up in new class programming, since Samuela has leaned into postpartum-focused strength and core content already. Samuela has also hinted she is working on something and many members are guessing it has to do with pre and postnatal movement.  Members recovering from pregnancy will likely welcome more of that guidance directly from an instructor who has been through it herself.
