Prager Metis Hosts Giving Tuesday Peloton Challenge to Benefit Alzheimer’s Research
On Giving Tuesday, Prager Metis, one of the fastest-growing accounting and advisory firms in the United States, aims to drive awareness for Alzheimer’s Awareness Month by hosting The Accounting Industry Leadership Council Spin Challenge. The virtual cycle challenge is open to anyone with an indoor bike, and Peloton users joining the ride are encouraged to use the hashtag #Ride2EndALZ.
The Accounting Industry Leadership Council Spin Challenge is free to participate in and aims to raise funds that will support the research needed to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Prager Metis CEO, partners, and several team members have lost loved ones to Alzheimer’s, and that is the driving force behind the firm’s long-standing commitment to philanthropic work and the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Peloton Users Join Unique Stack of Classes
Peloton users joining the challenge will be able to join a unique stack of classes on event day on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023. They can also join a special spin class on YouTube that can be done at any time on Giving Tuesday. Participants who raise $100 or more will receive swag gear and earn the official Ride to End ALZ medal.
Prager Metis Partner Wendy Valentino Leads the Spin Challenge
The Ride to End Alzheimer’s Spin Challenge is led by Prager Metis Partner Wendy Valentino in honor of her late mother, Jean Selwyn. After losing her father, Jean was diagnosed with dementia, and Wendy and her sister watched the 15-year decline of their mother’s memory and ability to function.
In 2020, Prager Metis created the Alzheimer’s Association Accounting Industry Leadership Council, which has raised over $3 million since inception. Prager Metis has raised more money than any other accounting firm in the fight against Alzheimer’s, including firms twice its size. Additionally, Prager Metis is the first recipient of the 2023 Rita Hayworth Award, which recognizes the firm’s efforts and philanthropic work in support of the Alzheimer’s Association.
100% of Proceeds Go Directly to the Alzheimer’s Association
Participants and donors alike can take comfort in the fact that 100% of proceeds will go directly to the Alzheimer’s Association. The Association uses the funds to advance Alzheimer’s science and support critical work on new treatments and prevention methods for Alzheimer’s and other dementias, making the Accounting Industry Leadership Council Spin Challenge an excellent way to provide support, especially if you are looking for a way to combine fitness and generosity this coming Giving Tuesday.
