Peloton’s Top 50 Music Countdown Classes Are Back

Last Updated: December 26, 2024By Tags: ,

Peloton fans, it’s that time of year again! Peloton is bringing back its much-loved “Top 50 Music Countdown Classes.” Get ready to sweat it out to the songs you played, hearted, and cherished the most throughout the year.

If you’ve been around the Peloton block for a while, you might remember that the tradition began on December 26, 2020, with the very first countdown. These classes quickly became fan favorites, offering an exciting way to relive the year’s most popular tracks and connect with the Peloton community’s shared music tastes.

This year, it’s all happening from Thursday, December 26 to Monday, December 30. But before you hop on your bike or hit the mat, here’s everything you need to know about this year’s countdown, plus a look at what’s new.

What’s New in the Top 50 Music Countdown for 2024?

Peloton keeps innovating, and this year’s Top 50 lineup is no exception. New additions include:

  • German Songs Countdown (#10-1): A special focus on the top hits for German-speaking members.
  • Spanish Songs Countdown (#10-1): A celebration of the most-loved Spanish tracks by the community.
  • Lanebreak Top 50 Remixed: A fresh twist for Lanebreak fans to experience remixed favorites.

It’s important to note that, unlike some previous years, all the countdown classes will be dropping as encore classes only—in past years, its been a mix of premiers early in the day and the same classes later in the day dropping as encore.  Plus, there’s a bit of disappointment among the community as there are no walking or walk + run classes included in the lineup.

On the bright side, more variety has been added this year – Boxing Day classes premiered early on the 26th and from the 27th thru the 30th – fresh Premiere classes drop starting at 2am ET.

On the 31st, there is a mix of Premiere classes including German Artist Boney M and encores of 30 min NYE: Ben Alldis Groove Armada DJ Ride and a 30 min The Jess King Experience class.

You can read last year’s recap of the Top 50 Countdown over on The Clip Out to see how this year’s experience compares.

A Little Bit of Nostalgia…

The Peloton Top 50 Music Countdown has come a long way since its 2020 debut. It’s a tradition built on community, music, and movement. These classes are more than workouts—they’re a unique way Peloton brings members together through the power of music.

This year’s all-encore lineup may mark a slight departure from past years, but with so many exciting new options like the remixed Lanebreak experience, Peloton continues to find ways to keep the countdown fresh and engaging.
