Peloton Tri Challenge Offers New Gold Badge This Week

Matt Wilpers-led badge event tracks a Row, Ride, and Run on September 19 with an extra day to earn the badge

The Peloton Tri Challenge is now available for opting-in, giving members a way to track their progress on the September 19 Peloton Triathlon. The challenge requires members to complete all three workouts, a Row, a Ride, and a Run, in exchange for a Gold-tier badge, and it runs from September 19 through September 20, 2026. Join the Challenge here: https://members.onepeloton.com/challenges/upcoming.

Peloton Tri Challenge Schedule

The classes will remain on the platform after the Challenge ends, but members have only these two days to acquire the badge for 2026.

What the Peloton Tri Challenge Requires

Peloton is framing the event, their second annual, with a simple tagline: “A triathlon but make it Peloton.” Inside the app, the Peloton Tri Challenge card confirms members can earn the badge by finishing three total workouts, and the challenge tracks Peloton Tri classes taken on any device rather than requiring a single live session.

That flexibility means members who miss the live window can still complete the Row, Ride, and Run on demand and have it count toward the badge. As long as the classes are all completed by September 20th, that is.

The event is led by Power Zone instructor Matt Wilpers, who previously confirmed the format as three 30-minute classes with short transitions built in between. Wilpers is one of the few instructors on the platform who teaches across the Row, Bike, and Tread, which made him the natural choice to front a challenge that spans all three disciplines in a single stretch.

Interestingly, he teased that for this round Katie Wang will be a special guest!

Peloton Tri Challenge Dates and How to Join

The Peloton Tri Challenge window is set for September 19 through September 20, 2026, giving members a full day beyond the live event to finish all three classes and lock in the badge. Members can join directly from the challenge card in the Peloton app or website, where the Gold tier and the three-workout requirement are listed alongside the event dates.

This badge push follows Peloton’s broader rollout of the Peloton Triathlon, which included a dedicated Team, leaderboard tracking, and a four-week training plan for members preparing for race day. If you have not joined the team, there is still time to get this last week of prep in!

Badge collecting has become a reliable hook for Peloton’s cross-modality events, and the Peloton Tri Challenge follows that same pattern by rewarding members who move across the Row, Bike, and Tread rather than staying in one lane. With the challenge window open through September 20, members still have time to fit in all three classes and add the badge to their collection. Check out our complete badge library!
