Caldwell and Wilpers announced the Peloton Tread AMA in a post on r/pelotoncycle on Friday. They say the new Tread portfolio is officially on sale and that they want to hear from members. Questions can cover the new Treads, running, walking and hiking, and anything else related to fitness and tech that is on a member’s mind.

What Members Can Ask About the New Tread Lineup

The new lineup includes Peloton Tread Flex, which the post describes as Peloton’s first foldable and most affordable Tread yet. It also includes Peloton Tread Vision and Peloton Tread+ Vision. Caldwell and Wilpers say they are aiming to redefine the Tread experience with the new Treads, along with Peloton IQ capabilities and instructor-led content.

The Peloton Tread AMA is not limited to hardware. The post also points to Peloton’s newest software innovations, which are designed to enhance the running, walking and hiking experience. Members can bring questions about the machines, the software, or both.

Peloton detailed the new lineup in its official press release and The Clip Out provided expanded coverage as well.

Who Is Hosting the Peloton Tread AMA

Caldwell leads the teams that create all of Peloton’s hardware and software, from the Bike and Tread to the features in the app. He describes himself as a Silicon Valley veteran who also served as the VP of Engineering at Reddit. Members can find him on the leaderboard as nickcald.

Matt Wilpers has been a Bike, Tread and Row instructor at Peloton for 10 years and works closely with Caldwell’s team on innovations across hardware and software. He is a former D1 collegiate runner turned coach and a NASM-certified personal trainer who is focused on training with purpose, especially using data, metrics and smart training plans to build longevity and performance.

How to Join the Session

The Peloton Tread AMA announcement is live on r/pelotoncycle, and the event is listed as Coming Up for Oct. 20 at 12:00 p.m., with a Remind me button for members who want a prompt. The post also includes a proof link confirming that the accounts belong to Caldwell and Wilpers.

Caldwell and Wilpers will be in the thread Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET. With the Tread portfolio now on sale, the Peloton Tread AMA puts a product leader and an instructor in one conversation for two hours, covering equipment, software and training.
