Peloton is adding a new German-language format to its strength lineup. Peloton Strength with Bench arrives this month, giving members a dedicated series built around bench-based work led by Berlin-based instructor Erik Jäger. The move expands Peloton’s German catalog beyond cycling and running into a fuller strength offering, with more consistent bench programming going forward. Jäger announced the series on Instagram, telling members that new Peloton Strength with Bench classes will publish every month starting now.

Peloton Strength with Bench Arrives Monthly

In his announcement, Jäger played on the German word Bank, which means both bench and bank, joking that no matter what a member’s account balance looks like, the only thing allowed to go into the negative is their excuses. The caption reinforced the practical message underneath the humor: starting now, Peloton Strength with Bench classes will post every month, giving German-speaking members a recurring bench-focused strength option alongside Peloton’s existing German cycling, running, and bodyweight strength catalog. Peloton has offered German-language classes since Jäger joined the platform in 2020, and this addition rounds out the equipment options available to Bike, Tread, and App members in that language track. Jäger’s growing visibility on the platform was on display earlier this year at FIBO 2026, where he led live workouts alongside fellow instructor Jeffrey McEachern.

First Chest and Back Strength Class Set for July 24

The series debuts with a live 30-minute Chest and Back Strength class taught by Jäger on July 24, 2026. The class streams live at 17:30 CEST, which converts to 11:30 a.m. ET and 8:30 a.m. PT for members outside Germany. Details for the first Peloton Strength with Bench class include:

  • Format: 30-minute Chest and Back Strength
  • Instructor: Erik Jäger
  • Language: German
  • Date: July 24, 2026
  • Time: 17:30 CEST / 11:30 a.m. ET / 8:30 a.m. PT
  • Equipment: Adjustable bench

During the class preview, Jäger emphasized proper form over momentum, reminding members that the bench isolates the movement so they can’t generate swing from the rest of the body. That cue sets the tone for what members can expect from the format going forward: controlled, equipment-based strength work rather than cardio-driven bench intervals.

These new sessions join Peloton’s existing Bench Strength collection, which already holds 13 classes across multiple instructors. As Peloton Strength with Bench grows, expect Jäger’s German-language classes to land in that same collection, giving members one place to find bench-based work regardless of language.

Peloton Bench Strength Collection

With Peloton Strength with Bench now a recurring monthly series, German-speaking members have a clearer path to structured strength work alongside Jäger’s existing catalog of cycling and running classes. It’s the latest step in Jäger’s busy stretch of visibility across the platform, and it points to Peloton continuing to build out its non-English strength library. Members will want to keep an adjustable bench within reach for whatever the next Peloton Strength with Bench class brings.
