Peloton instructor Sam Yo announces book.

Peloton Instructor Sam Yo is Writing a Book

We’ve got another Peloton instructor book in the works! Sam Yo recently shared on the Bruce Lee podcast that he is working on a book. The book’s working title is “The Monk’s Mindset” and it’s expected to be published in 2025.

Harnessing the Energy of the Dragon

Sam predicts 2024, the Year of the Dragon, will bring prosperity and power, and that certainly seems to be the case for him. He revealed that he has been working on the book for about two years now.

While he’s toyed with the idea of a book for a long time, the official process started when he was approached by an agent who takes his classes and encouraged him to lean into his calm and peaceful approach to motivation. The book will tell the story of how he developed his approach. He’ll share his journey to the temple and how he applies the monastery teachings to everyday life, professionally and personally, as well as how others can apply it to their own lives.

A Monk’s Journey

In a prior post on Peloton’s Output, Sam shared his experiences as a monk and how his time at the monastery ingrained in him a sense of service to others. The monastery instilled simplicity and fostered empathy and personal wealth beyond materialism for Sam. These tenets coupled with his path of finding the mind-body connection brought Sam into the world of fitness and ultimately to Peloton, where he now combines his passions for service and fitness to help his cycling students achieve their very best.

According to Sam, the book starts with the line: “Your soul is an unfolding jigsaw puzzle, and through your life you collect pieces by being open to experiences that come your way.”

We can’t wait to hear more of Sam’s thoughts on filling in the framework of our own personal puzzles!
