Peloton Introduces Endurance Walk Classes to Build Stamina
Three new Tread sessions from Susie Chan, Matty Maggiacomo, and Kirsten Ferguson trade intervals for steady, sustained effort.

Endurance Walk Classes are now part of Peloton’s Walking library, giving Tread members a steady, no-recovery format built for cardiovascular base building rather than intervals or pace changes. Three sessions went live on demand Wednesday, August 5: a 20-minute class with Susie Chan, a 30-minute class with Matty Maggiacomo, and a 45-minute class with Kirsten Ferguson.
What Endurance Walk Classes Feel Like on the Tread
Susie Chan’s 20-minute Endurance Walk Class holds a brisk, steady pace for the full session, running an incline of 0.0 to 1.0 percent and a speed of 3.4 to 3.7 miles per hour, with heart rate sitting in Zone 1 for most members.

Chan describes it as a lower-intensity format meant to mimic an outdoor walk rather than a structured workout, calling it “a nice little sweet spot” for building walking endurance without pushing into a harder cardio zone.
Three Instructors Lead the New Endurance Walk Classes
Chan’s 20-minute class is the shortest of the three Endurance Walk Classes, followed by Matty Maggiacomo’s 30-minute session and Kirsten Ferguson’s 45-minute class. Ferguson, who is currently training for the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, leads the longest of the three and frames the purpose plainly: to build cardiovascular endurance.

How Endurance Walk Classes Differ From a Power Walk
Ferguson is explicit about what her class is not. “It’s not quick feet like a power walk, but we’re moving, all right?” she says, distinguishing the format from Peloton’s faster power walk classes. She describes the effort as Zone 2 steady state cardio with “no recoveries built in,” meaning the pace holds constant from start to finish.
Ferguson even dares members not to sing during the class. With the pace conversational enough to hold a tune, she tells the room to “feel free to sing” as they move, turning what could be a monotonous 45 minutes into something closer to a walking playlist session.
Where to Find Endurance Walk Classes
Endurance Walk Classes are live now in Peloton’s Walking class library, and you can browse the full range of Peloton Tread workouts to see how they fit alongside runs, hikes, and bootcamps.

The same day, Peloton also introduced Intervals Walk Classes, a structured counterpart that shifts pace throughout instead of holding one steady effort. Peloton added a wave of new hike and Extra Steps walking classes back in May, and this latest addition builds further on the Walking discipline.
With three lengths already in rotation, Endurance Walk Classes give members a low-barrier way to log steady cardio time. If the format follows the same release pattern as Peloton’s other Tread walking categories, additional instructors are a reasonable next step.
