The Route Through Tempelhofer Feld
The group will meet at The Common Cafe, where bags and personal items can be dropped off before the run. The roughly 5K route heads from the cafe toward Tempelhofer Feld and back, covering a moderate, conversational pace designed as a warm-up rather than a workout. The event is scheduled to wrap by noon.
How to Register for the Berlin Marathon Shakeout Run
Runners of all paces are welcome, though participation requires advance registration and a signed activity waiver. Spots are limited, so anyone interested in the Berlin Marathon Shakeout Run should register through the event page ahead of time.
What to Expect on Race Weekend
After the run, participants can enjoy complimentary teas, coffees, and light snacks back at The Common Cafe. Peloton recommends checking Berlin’s forecast when picking gear, since the event may be adjusted or canceled for adverse weather. Anyone with questions, or who needs to cancel a reservation, can reach Peloton’s team at [email protected].
Peloton’s Partnership With 261 Fearless and Gegen Run Club
261 Fearless is a global nonprofit that supports women-only running clubs, working to break down the isolation, misconceptions, and lack of access that keep women from running. Gegen Run Club brings local roots to the event, giving the Berlin Marathon Shakeout Run a Berlin-based running community alongside Peloton’s own programming.
Jeffrey McEachern has become a familiar face at Peloton’s European race weekends, and this year he’ll be running alongside the field he’s usually pacing. McEachern announced on his Instagram story that he is running the 2026 Berlin Marathon himself. He also ran the Berlin Marathon in 2023 and led the Peloton Berlin Half Shakeout Run earlier this year ahead of the Generali Berlin Half Marathon.
Runners looking for extra preparation can also queue up McEachern’s 15 minute Race Day Warm Up class on the Peloton platform, built to be used 30 to 45 minutes before the starting gun. Between the shakeout run and that warm-up, Peloton is giving Berlin Marathon Shakeout Run participants more than one way to arrive at the start line ready to go. The BMW Berlin Marathon takes place the following morning, Sunday, September 27.
