Peloton August Artist Series: Party Like its the 2010s
Peloton August Artist Series: 2 Throwback Headliners Hit the Schedule
Zara Larsson debuts a fresh lineup of live classes while the Backstreet Boys come back to the format for the first time since April’s cancellation.
The Peloton August Artist Series lineup pairs a still-rising pop favorite with a returning fan favorite. Zara Larsson gets her first dedicated Peloton August Artist Series classes on August 6, and the Backstreet Boys return to the format on August 13, marking their latest appearance since Peloton pulled their scheduled series back in April.

Instructors Have Been Playing Zara Larsson All Summer
The timing tracks with what has already been happening in regular class programming. A search of classes featuring her music turns up well over 100 results, with instructors across disciplines pulling from her catalog for months. Cody Rigsby, Olivia Amato, Camila Ramón, Emma Lovewell, Ally Love, Selena Samuela, and Hannah Frankson have all built recent rides, hikes, and runs around tracks including “Never Forget You,” “Lush Life,” “Crush,” “Midnight Sun,” and “Can’t Tame Her.” That kind of organic pickup across the instructor team, spanning cycling, walking, and running, usually signals an artist whose catalog is already resonating before a formal series even launches.
Backstreet Boys Artist Series Returns August 13
The Backstreet Boys portion of the Peloton August Artist Series arrives Thursday, August 13, with two confirmed live classes at Peloton Studios New York. Mariana Fernández teaches a 30-minute Yoga Flow from 5:30 to 6:00 PM ET, followed by Ally Love’s 30-minute ride from 7:00 to 7:30 PM ET. Their December 2024 series, spanned cycling, rowing, strength, running, and yoga across nine total classes, and we expect to see more On Demand modalities here later.
Backstreet Boys Series Was Scrapped In April
This return in notable because it almost didn’t happen. We detailed how Peloton cancelled a full Backstreet Boys Artist Series that had been scheduled for April 23, replacing Mariana Fernández’s Yoga Flow, Camila Ramón’s Walk and Run, and Ally Love’s ride with standard, non-themed programming. Peloton told The Clip Out at the time that the cancellation came down to “a shift in programming and scheduling,” without elaborating further. August 13 answers at least part of that question. The Backstreet Boys are back, and this marks the group’s third full run with the format since the December 2024 series.

The Legacy Of Cody Rigsby’s 2019 Backstreet Boys Ride
No conversation about Backstreet Boys on Peloton gets far without mentioning Cody Rigsby’s May 17, 2019 ride, recorded to mark the 20th anniversary of the Millennium album and its lead single, “I Want It That Way.” Cody has been open about his fandom over the years, including his long-running opinion that Kevin Richardson may be the “hottest” member but AJ McLean is the most talented. What makes the 2019 class genuinely iconic is not just the class itself, but how often it keeps getting referenced. A workout that keeps getting cited as the gold standard six years later, across multiple newer artist series, has earned its icon status.
Backstreet Boys Are Mid-Residency At Sphere
Speaking of iconic, The Backstreet Boys are not a nostalgia act sitting on the sidelines right now. The group’s “Into the Millennium” residency at Sphere in Las Vegas runs through the summer, with confirmed dates on August 6, 8, 13, 14, and 15, lining up directly with the Peloton August Artist Series window. The residency has added extra shows repeatedly due to demand, and the band has European dates booked for the fall. For a group whose Peloton history stretches back to 2019, that level of current touring activity gives this return a real-world backdrop instead of a purely archival one.
With the Backstreet Boys performing steadily through the fall and a third Peloton series now on the books, the August return looks less like damage control after April’s cancellation and more like Peloton settling back into a partnership it keeps coming back to. Zara Larsson, meanwhile, arrives with a catalog that instructors have already been leaning on for months, which suggests her Peloton August Artist Series debut may not be a one-time event either.
