The two brands are joining forces this Mental Health Awareness Month to rally communities around nationwide fundraising walks.

Peloton and lululemon are putting action behind intention this May by teaming up to support NAMIWalks nationwide. In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the two brands have joined forces to mobilize their communities around mental health advocacy, underscoring the importance of wellbeing as a collective journey.

What the Peloton and lululemon NAMIWalks Partnership Involves

The initiative centers on NAMIWalks, the National Alliance on Mental Illness’s nationwide series of community fundraising events. Peloton and lululemon are inviting their communities to participate in local NAMIWalks events, either in person or virtually, under the shared banner they describe as “The Collective Strength of Peloton and lululemon.”

Both brands are also making a joint contribution to NAMI on behalf of their communities, moving well beyond awareness into meaningful financial support for the organization’s mission.

For Peloton, this is a natural extension of what the platform already stands for. Peloton is not just a fitness platform. Its library spans cycling, Tread classes, rowing, strength training, yoga, Pilates, meditation, stretching, mat-based cardio, and outdoor content. Mental health has been woven into that content mission for years. As The Clip Out has reported, Peloton’s relationship with NAMI dates back to May 2021, when the two first partnered during Mental Health Awareness Month with a commitment that included financial support, content creation, and community engagement.

Why lululemon Is a Natural Fit for NAMIWalks

lululemon brings its own established history with both NAMI and Peloton to this partnership. The two brands have collaborated before, most notably around World Mental Health Day, where they joined forces to connect their communities through movement and mental health advocacy. For World Mental Health Day in 2024, lululemon hosted complimentary movement-focused workouts at more than 500 locations across the U.S. and Canada in collaboration with NAMI, and made a substantial donation to mental health organizations. That event also incorporated Peloton Playdates for virtual participants, giving members of both communities a way to participate together without being in the same room.

That shared history makes this NAMIWalks effort feel less like a new experiment and more like a natural next step for two brands that have already shown they work well together around a common cause.

Peloton Classes for Mental Health Awareness Month

Peloton is also supporting Mental Health Awareness Month with dedicated classes across its full range of modalities throughout May, including cycling, Tread, strength, yoga, Pilates, meditation, and more. Check the Peloton schedule for upcoming live classes or browse the on-demand library throughout the month to find mental health awareness content as it becomes available.

How to Get Involved in NAMIWalks This May

Getting involved is straightforward. Communities across the country are invited to find and register for a local NAMIWalks event in person or participate virtually. Every contribution helps NAMI provide life-changing resources at no cost, advancing efforts to make mental wellbeing more accessible for all.

NAMI is the largest grassroots mental health organization in the country. The funds raised through NAMIWalks support free programs, peer-led support groups, public education, and advocacy efforts at the local, state, and national levels.

Those who prefer to make a direct donation on behalf of the Peloton and lululemon communities can do that through the partnership page as well.

NAMIWalks and the Bigger Picture of Mental Wellbeing

The campaign’s core message is that mental wellbeing is not a solo endeavor. That framing resonates with how both Peloton and lululemon have built their communities. This NAMIWalks partnership reflects what happens when brands with genuine community reach decide to direct that reach toward something that matters.

There are walks happening nationwide, classes rolling out all month, and two major brands putting real resources behind the cause. Whether you move, donate, or simply spread the word, every action in support of mental health counts.
