New Peloton Class Series: Creating Space with Kirra

In the bustling rhythm of modern life, finding moments of tranquility can be a challenge. This May, which also happens to be Mental Health Awareness Month, Peloton Yoga Instructor Kirra Michel invites you to a unique exploration of mind and body with her latest class series, “Creating Space.” This series isn’t just about bending and stretching; it’s an innovative blend of Yin Yoga practices and heart-to-heart conversations designed to enhance resilience.

A Journey Through Yin Yoga With Kirra Michel

Kirra is known for her holistic and introspective approach to yoga. With a philosophy deeply anchored in the core principals of yoga, Kirra aims to guide her students towards achieving sattva, a harmonious state of balance and contentment. Her teachings often echo the ancient wisdom of yoga sutras, such as “atha yoga anushasanam” and “Yogas chitta vritti nirodha,” emphasizing the importance of beginning the practice with awareness and seeking to quiet the over-analytical mind.

Movement and Dialogue

Creating Space launches on Tuesday, May 7 at 6:30pm (ET) with a 20-minute class. Following this, every Tuesday in May at the same time, Kirra will be joined by a series of special guests including Denis Morton on May 14, Kirsten Ferguson on May 21, and Matty Maggiacomo on May 28, each contributing to a 20-minute class.

Join Kirra and special guests at 6:30pm (ET) every Tuesday in May

This series is unique not only because of its inclusion of instructors but also due to its focus. Beyond just physical stretch and release, these classes are designed to open up a space for real, unfolding conversations aimed at revealing new pathways to resilience and well-being.

The Significance of Creating Space in Mental Health Awareness Month

Synchronizing this series with Mental Health Awareness Month amplifies the message Peloton and Kirra wish to convey – wellness is a holistic concept. It intertwines the physical with the mental and emotional. The act of creating space is multifaceted; it involves creating space within the body through stretch, within the mind through meditation, and within the heart through conversation. It’s an invitation to explore the vast landscape of self-care, emphasizing that mental health is as critical as physical fitness.

Will you be counting yourself in and Creating Space this month?
