Marcel Maurer 5 Year Peloversary Brings New Class Collection
The German-language strength and Tread instructor reflects on nerves, gut instinct, and five years of teaching as Peloton unveils a 50-class collection in his honor.

The Marcel Maurer 5 Year Peloversary is here, and Peloton marked the milestone with a surprise class throwback and a new 50-class collection called Marcel M’s Greatest Hits.
Marcel M’s Greatest Hits Collection Marks the Milestone
Marcel M’s Greatest Hits sits within Peloton’s Cross Training category and pulls together 50 classes from across Maurer’s catalog, including Strength, Tread, and Bootcamp formats. The collection description invites members to “relive all of your favorite Marcel M moments,” and the class list backs that up. It features standout sessions like his Whitney Houston Artist Series ride, a Taylor Swift-themed Tread run, an 80s-inspired class, and a HYROX-focused Bootcamp that reflects his own competitive background in the sport. The collection arrives as the centerpiece of the Marcel Maurer 5 Year Peloversary celebration.
The range of formats represented in Marcel M’s Greatest Hits underscores how far Maurer’s role has grown since he joined Peloton in July 2021. What started as a single Strength class introduction has expanded into a full catalog spanning Tread runs, bootcamps, and Artist Series programming, all of which now anchor this anniversary collection.
A Surprise Look Back for the Marcel Maurer 5 Year Peloversary

Maurer shared on Instagram that he was told he’d get to watch something as part of the celebration, not realizing Peloton had pulled his very first class footage from July 2021. Watching it back, he noted he “had slightly less stubble back then,” a light moment before he got into the more meaningful backstory.

Maurer explained that visa complications around his original premiere led Peloton to build a studio in Munich specifically so he could launch from there instead. “So I had the honor of having a whole studio made just for me,” he said. He described feeling tense and excited in equal measure that day, adding that while he looked calm on camera, he was “brutally nervous actually.”
Gut Instinct Still Guides Marcel Maurer
In the footage from his debut class, Maurer told members that his passion for sports and exercise, paired with a gut feeling, was what would guide him onto the right path. Watching it back for his Marcel Maurer 5 Year Peloversary, he said that instinct still holds true today. When people ask whether he leads with his heart or his head, his answer hasn’t changed: “my gut.”
Maurer closed his reflection with gratitude for a job that lets him combine teaching, inspiration, and movement every day. He described bringing “fire, passion and pure emotion” to his classes, a description that tracks with the energy members have come to expect from him since his two-year milestone at Peloton.
As the Marcel Maurer 5 Year Peloversary celebration continues, members have a direct way to revisit that evolution through Marcel M’s Greatest Hits, from his earliest Strength sessions to the Tread, Bootcamp, and Artist Series classes that followed. Five years in, Maurer’s gut instinct appears to be serving him, and Peloton, well.
