Juanes Artist Series overview

Who is Juanes

Juanes was born Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez in Medellín, Colombia, in 1972. He got his start fronting the rock band Ekhymosis before launching a solo career in 1998. His 2002 album Un Día Normal became a defining moment in Latin music, spending a record-breaking 92 weeks in the Top Ten of the Billboard Latin chart. Over his career, he’s won four Grammy Awards and more than 20 Latin Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist for his 2000 debut, Fíjate Bien. It’s a body of work that’s made him one of Latin rock’s most enduring figures.

Juanes Artist Series Classes

This lineup rounds out a busy stretch of Hispanic Heritage Month content on Peloton, which has spanned genres from reggaeton to bossa nova over the past few weeks. Whether you’ve followed Juanes since his Ekhymosis days or you’re just discovering him now, Thursday’s classes are a genuine chance to move alongside one of Latin rock’s biggest names, and in Mariana’s case, quite literally.
