Peloton instructor Jess Sims is bringing her commitment to honoring teachers to riders across the country with the Jess Sims Teacher Appreciation Tour, a four-city live event series designed to celebrate educators and connect them with the Peloton community. For Sims, this is not a departure from her identity; it is a return to it.
Sims joined Peloton in 2018 as a tread instructor, having left a career in education after stints with Teach for America and as a kindergarten teacher in New York, and also served as an assistant principal before making the leap to fitness. What the Jess Sims Teacher Appreciation Tour Includes
Each city stop is built around celebration and community, not just a workout. Every event features a 30-minute full-body strength class led by Sims, designed for all fitness levels and focused on floor-based movements. Attendees will also take part in a live Q&A session where Jess answers questions about her career, wellness, and the teaching profession, along with dedicated teacher networking time, gift bags from Peloton and Jess’s brand partners, and photo opportunities.
Peloton frames it as more than a fitness event. The goal is to help educators reconnect with the importance of moving their bodies as a form of self-care.

The Jess Sims Teacher Appreciation Tour makes four stops during Teacher Appreciation Week:

- Detroit: May 7
- New York City: May 9
The NYC stop serves as the grand finale and takes place at Peloton Studios New York (PSNY).

The city stop events are designed specifically for selected educators. If you know a teacher, professor, dean, counselor, or school leader who goes above and beyond, this is your chance to recognize them. Self-nominations are also welcome.

- Selected educators will be notified by email and invited to an exclusive wellness experience with Jess Sims in their city

Know an educator who deserves to be celebrated but want to be there yourself? Peloton is sending one lucky winner on a trip to New York City to attend the last stop of the tour. The prize includes a travel and lodging stipend valued at $1,000 per the official rules, plus entry into the finale class at PSNY with Jess Sims.
The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 48 continental United States and D.C. who are 18 or older, and runs through April 26, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET. A Busy Season for Jess Sims
The tour is one of several significant moves Sims has made in recent months.
