HYROX Hamburg Draws Two Peloton Instructors to the October 30 Event

Benny Adami and Marcel Maurer are both racing in Hamburg on Friday, Oct. 30, with Maurer calling it his last race of the year.

HYROX Hamburg this Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, will include two Peloton instructors. Benny Adami is entered in mixed doubles with Kim Isabel Drews, and Marcel Maurer has said he starts Friday at 10:50.

Both can be tracked following competition here. It is an exciting return to the format for both London-based German Peloton instructors.

HYROX Hamburg Opens the 2026/27 Elite Series

Intersport HYROX Hamburg runs Oct. 28 through Nov. 1, 2026. Organizers describe the city as the birthplace of HYROX and say it will host the opening races of the 2026/27 HYROX Elite Series season. Elite 15 and Challenger 15 Singles are set for Friday, Oct. 30, with Elite 15 and Challenger 15 Doubles on Saturday, Oct. 31. Organizers also frame the weekend as open to athletes chasing a personal best and those racing for the first time.

How a HYROX Race Is Structured

HYROX races combine eight 1 kilometer runs with eight functional stations, as TCO has outlined in earlier coverage. The stations are ski erg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Each event follows the same format.

Marcel Maurer Closes His Year at HYROX Hamburg

Marcel posted on Instagram that he starts HYROX Hamburg on Friday at 10:50. He had planned to race in Barcelona two weeks later but decided to pull out. He wrote that he loves training hard, probably a little too much at times, and that his body is good at telling him when to slow down.

Hamburg will be his last race of the year, and he said that feels right. It is where his HYROX path began in 2018, and he called it “the city that has always felt like home.” He added that some of his closest friends and Peloton members from across Germany plan to support him.

Benny Adami Is Entered in HYROX Hamburg Mixed Doubles

The start list is titled 2026 Hamburg, HYROX Doubles (Friday). It lists Kim Isabel Drews and Benjamin Adami as a doubles team under bib 162033 in the 35-39 age group. Their start wave is 16:20 in HYROX Doubles Mixed. Benny’s IG story credited the pairing as @kimilein_d x @benny.adami.

He also shared an update on Thursday, Oct. 22. He wrote that he was “still not quite back to normal,” said his stomach still cannot handle food properly, and added that things could always be worse. Luckily, he did post a day later that his tummy troubles had abated, so it looks like he is on track!

Benny Lines Up at HYROX Hamburg After Two Withdrawals

We reported in March that Adami withdrew from HYROX London Olympia 2026, which ran March 24 through 29. In an Instagram post, he wrote that his body was pushing back.

On April 12, we covered his decision to name HYROX Berlin as his next target after he missed what would have been his third HYROX event of the year because of injury. By May 2, coverage noted that he would not compete in Berlin and hoped to race in Hamburg later this year. That hope now has a bib number and a start time.
