Train with Des Linden: New Becs Gentry Class Drops June 22
Peloton instructor Becs Gentry is pairing with marathon champion Des Linden for a new Tread class built around New York City Marathon training.
Peloton instructor Becs Gentry is bringing a new collaborator into her training lineup. A class to train with Des Linden, the two-time Boston Marathon champion, drops Monday, June 22 on demand, giving members a fresh way to kick off New York City Marathon training with 18 weeks to go before race day.

How to Train with Des Linden in This New Class
The class to train with Des Linden is a 45 minute Endurance Run, designed to give members a structured way to start building toward race day. It becomes available on demand at 12 AM ET and 5 AM BST on Monday, June 22. Endurance runs are typically paced to build aerobic capacity over time, which makes this an approachable entry point whether a member is training for New York City or building a base for any fall race. The timing follows closely behind Becs Gentry’s own recent shift in training focus, which has been showing up in her Tread programming for months.
Linden brings a level of marathon credibility that few guest collaborators can match. She became the first American woman to win the Boston Marathon open division in 33 years in 2018, a moment that came after years of near misses at the top of the sport. A two-time Olympian, she also set a world best in the 50K in 2021, running 2 hours, 59 minutes and 54 seconds. She has built a career on the kind of disciplined, long-game training this class is meant to introduce. Gentry herself is no stranger to that level of commitment, having logged seven marathons across seven continents in a single week as part of the 2024 Great World Race. Pace Your Race Program Launches Alongside the Class
Alongside the new class to train with Des Linden, Peloton is also rolling out Pace Your Race, a comprehensive training program built for members with a marathon or other distance goal on the calendar. The program is designed to give structure to the months of New York City Marathon training ahead, pairing scheduled workouts with progress tracking rather than leaving members to piece together a plan on their own.
For members already following Becs Gentry’s run programming, the timing lines up directly with the start of a new marathon training cycle. With 18 weeks on the clock, Monday’s class gives members a clear starting point and a name like Linden behind it to help set the tone for the months ahead.
