Tonal Live Pilates Workout Makes Company History on May 2 with Kristin McGee and Free Giveaways

International Pilates Day is getting a serious upgrade this year with the launch of the first-ever Tonal live Pilates workout. Dropping on May 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM in celebration of International Pilates Day, this real-time class is led by one of the most recognized Pilates instructors in the world and former Peloton instructor, Coach Kristin McGee.

Kristin McGee’s Tonal Era

Kristin McGee is one of the most recognized Pilates instructors in the world and her work on Tonal has already made a significant mark. Tonal brought McGee on as a Guest Coach, announcing her as a celebrated fitness trainer known for her leadership in approachable, mindful movement and her expansion into strength-based training on Tonal’s adaptive, science-backed system.  The upcoming Tonal live Pilates workout is a natural evolution of that partnership, giving members a real-time connection with McGee.

The 45-minute intermediate class is titled “Pilates Day Burn and Flow,” and it is designed to introduce members to performance Pilates on Tonal. According to the class description, members will challenge themselves to stay present and move with precision while connecting with their breathing. The workout flows through a core warmup, then repeats a performance-oriented movement sequence three times to refine form and build strength, followed by a quick-paced burnout block and a gentle cooldown.

Performance Pilates

What makes this Tonal live Pilates workout particularly notable is the technology behind it. Tonal’s Pilates experience includes 10 levels of digital resistance that emulate the feel of traditional reformer springs, automatically micro-adjusting to match each user’s strength. That means members participating in “Pilates Day Burn and Flow” are doing more than just following along, they’re getting a personalized, resistance-based experience that responds to their individual fitness level in real time.

Pilates is one of the fastest-growing workouts in the United States, yet many still find it intimidating and hard to access.  Tonal’s approach seeks to address both of those barriers by combining the accessibility of an at-home workout with the precision and challenge of reformer-style Pilates.

Exclusive Prizes Up for Grabs During the Tonal Live Pilate’s Workout

Another key element of this first-ever event is the prize component. Kristin will be giving away exclusive prizes to participants during the class, making real-time participation even more exciting. Members who join live will have the chance to engage directly with McGee and compete for those giveaways, adding a fun layer to the experience.

Since the prize opportunities will be exclusive to those participating in real time on May 2, members are encouraged to show up live instead of taking the class at a later time or date On Demand.

A New Chapter for Tonal’s Live Programming

The debut of a Tonal live Pilates workout on International Pilates Day is an obvious expansion of what the platform offers its members. Tonal has signaled plans for a refreshed live workout schedule that balances intensity with recovery for sustainable results, and this event is a strong indicator of where that strategy could be headed. Live classes create a sense of urgency and shared energy that on-demand content simply cannot replicate, and this debut is a signal that the brand is investing in community-driven experiences.

With an ever-growing library of programs and workouts, Tonal offers options for all goals, experience levels, and life stages, and the addition of live Pilates programming only deepens that commitment.

Make sure you’re logged in and ready to go for the first-ever Tonal live Pilates workout. You won’t want to miss this one.
