Peloton is heading to the TFA 35th Anniversary Summit in Las Vegas next week, and it wants to hear from members who belong to both communities. A new callout invites members with ties to Teach For America to share their stories before the event opens on October 2.

The invitation arrives one week before instructors Jess Sims and Chelsea Jackson Roberts lead movement sessions at the TFA 35th Anniversary Summit, which Teach For America describes as the largest gathering in its 35-year history.

Share Your Story Ahead of the TFA 35th Anniversary Summit

The graphic asks whether members are heading to Las Vegas, then notes that Peloton wants to hear from the people who are part of both communities: those who take its classes and also have a connection to Teach For America.

Members who fit that description can submit through the share your story submission page. The graphic does not list a deadline or explain how the stories will be used, so anyone interested should submit before October 2.

The callout does not specify a class type. Members connect through Strength, Yoga, Tread, Row, Pilates, Meditation, and Outdoor classes, and the one requirement named is a tie to both communities.

Inside the TFA 35th Anniversary Summit

The TFA 35th Anniversary Summit takes place October 2 and 3 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas. According to Teach For America, more than 10,000 alumni, corps members, partners, and community leaders are expected, making it the organization’s first national gathering in nearly a decade.

Programming runs across three tracks: Leadership: Then, Now, and Next; Investing in What Works: Bright Spots and Bold Possibilities; and Reimagining Education: Now and For the Next Generation.

Peloton’s role is to open each morning with movement. Sims will lead a bodyweight strength session, and Roberts will lead yoga. Roberts has said she is excited to begin each day with movement, a natural fit for an event built around reconnecting a national network. The Clip Out covered the partnership when it was announced.

Jess Sims Returns to Her Teaching Roots

For Sims, the event carries personal weight. She is a 2010 Teach For America corps alum who taught kindergarten in New York and served as an assistant principal before joining Peloton in 2018.

Sims has said she cannot wait to connect the Teach For America corps across “the past, the present, and the future.” The story callout extends that idea to members, giving those with TFA ties a way to take part in the TFA 35th Anniversary Summit before the first class begins.

It also builds on Sims’ work honoring educators, including her four-city Teacher Appreciation Tour earlier this year.

Where Members Fit In

Most of Peloton’s presence in Las Vegas has centered on its instructors so far. The callout adds members to that picture, placing the people who take the classes alongside the educators and leaders in the room.

The graphic frames the invitation around attendees, so members planning to be at the TFA 35th Anniversary Summit are the clearest fit. With one week to go, the window to share your story is short, and the submissions that come in could shape how Peloton represents its community at the event.
