Peloton Drops 10-Minute Standing Yoga Class You Can Do Anywhere

Mariana Fernández Built a Standing Yoga Class for Anywhere Life Gets You

Peloton has released a new 10-minute Standing Yoga class with Mariana Fernández, and it does not need a mat, a wall, or even a quiet room. The Standing Yoga class premiered on demand Wednesday, August 19, and it is built for the moments a full mat practice is not realistic, whether that is a hallway, a line at the airport, or a break between meetings.

The class falls under Peloton’s Flow format and targets Hips, Hamstrings, and Obliques, working spine mobility alongside a deep leg stretch. Fernández moves through Triangle Pose, Revolved Chair Pose, Chair Pose, and Standing Forward Fold Pose, a sequence built around opening the body from the ground up. A wall shows up throughout the class as an optional prop for balance and deeper stretching, but every pose can be done freestanding, which keeps the Standing Yoga class usable in tight or unpredictable spaces.

The playlist carries two tracks: Taylor Swift’s “Midnight Rain” and Prince and the Revolution’s “Purple Rain.” A Taylor Swift song showing up in a Mariana Fernández class is close to a signature at this point, and pairing it with Prince gives the short flow a bit of range without losing momentum.

It has been a while since Peloton released a new Standing Yoga class. The format is not new to the library, with 39 classes already available before this one dropped, but a fresh addition has been rare in recent memory. Kirra Michel’s 15-minute Standing Yoga class released back in January 2024 as part of Peloton’s Zach Bryan Artist Series, built around Warrior 3, Warrior 2, and Extended Side Angle Pose. Zacharias Niedzwiecki also has a 20-minute Focus Flow: Standing Balances class that leans into similar territory, though it is built around balance work rather than the mobility and stretch focus driving Fernández’s version.

Fernández joined Peloton in 2021 and has built out a wide catalog across yoga, running, and meditation, recently marked by Mariana’s Greatest Hits Collection for her five-year anniversary. The new Standing Yoga class adds another short, portable option to that catalog, aimed squarely at members who want mobility work without needing to plan around a floor routine. It is available now in the Peloton on-demand yoga library.
