Samuela is the founder of A Court of Books and Baddies, the romantasy book club known as ACOBAB. The event is presented in partnership with Little Spoon and is listed on Luma under the host name Always Alpha, her new management company. In an Instagram video announcing the plans, Samuela held up copies of Conform and Beneath, both by Sullivan, said she is looking forward to the night, and called it an ACOBAB live event.
Selena Samuela Book Club Event Schedule and Location
The program begins at 5:00 PM with time to unwind. WTHN is providing mini acupuncture and ear seeding, and the Luma listing adds light snacks and drinks. The Instagram caption describes the same lineup before the fireside chat. Sullivan joins from 6:00 to 7:00 PM for what the listing calls an intimate Q&A.
The wellness offerings give the Selena Samuela book club event a different feel from a standard author signing. Mini acupuncture and ear seeding sit alongside light snacks and drinks, and the host describes the night as a cozy evening of romantasy and community.

About Author Ariel Sullivan
Sullivan is a New York Times bestselling author of Conform and Beneath, according to the event listing. The same listing describes the evening as “made for those who read well past lights-out,” a nod to the readers ACOBAB draws.
How to Request a Spot
Registration runs through Luma and requires host approval. Guests select Request to Join, and each registration is subject to that approval. The listing does not include ticket pricing or capacity details, and Samuela’s caption points to a sign-up link in her Instagram bio (which point to this site). Anyone planning to attend the Selena Samuela book club event should submit a request ahead of November 6.
ACOBAB Beyond the Page
ACOBAB, the club behind the Selena Samuela book club event, runs on the Fable app, where members read together online. The club has previously read titles including Fourth Wing and Iron Flame, and readers can join on Fable.
Samuela is both a Peloton instructor and the founder of the club, so the event brings her class community and her reading community into one room. She also brought author Sarah A. Parker to Peloton Studios in June for a two-minute plank interview, which TCO covered in a previous article.
The November 6 evening adds an in-person gathering to the club’s online community, pairing an author Q&A with wellness offerings in Flatiron.
